Remember when Walter Jacobson would go undercover, pretending to live on the street, and perhaps expose some shenanigans or shady dealing in town? Imagine if someone went undercover...or even just did some FOIA work on City Hall spending:
- The Mayors press conference costs are out of control. Large tents with heating and cooling, stages, drapery, large TV monitors, etc. The tents are rented and cots are min $20.000 per. Do a FOIA for marquee, drapery kings, Rent com, Kamal tech and dont forget the same city laborer who makes around 50K a year in overtime
What if they asked a few questions, made a few phone calls? Might they bring even a whiff of legitimacy to politics and reporting?

There is a laborer who handles all the rentals for press conferences. She regularly schedules the Tent to be delivered, then the chairs,stage, drapes, plants etc. Making sure she can spend the whole day on overtime on a Saturday or Sunday when the press conference in on monday.
All while taking care of all the clout heavy contractors. Marquee, Drapery Kings,rent Comm

Who is this laborers supervisor and why does she get all the overtime and shouldnt this be available to other laborers in same classification and department.. I would think there would be a policy in place with their union so ALL overtime would be fairly distributed. Who is the higher management alowing this to happen.

Sherry does a good job at taking care of herself. The God fearing Christian. There is a policy setforth by AIS where the overtime is supposed to distributed evenly and its not. Why cant other Laborers be utilized for set up and delivery
Now we are hearing that the Department is under investigation. Probally all the meterial being taken by the trades for their side jobs.. along with leaving during th day to do their own thing and swiping out later

AIS has some of the most dedicated people who go above and beyond every day often without the credit or money they deserve. Unfortunately AIS also has a small number of people who make it their life’s work to try to destroy the department because of past grievances that they themselves can barely remember. If they took even an ounce of that energy toward doing their daily tasks everyone, including themselves, would be much happier. Unfortunately it’s very hard to get rid of lazy people in any workplace these days and governments have an even harder time. The only way the complainers will stop complaining is to actually call their bluff and force them to do the work they seem to covet. Quickly they will sigh and say it’s too hard, or the famous; “It’s not my job”. Then the complaints stop for a while, but slowly they will resume their role in life, which is to try to tear down other people because they cannot seem to raise themselves up. Sad really.
