Kind of Toasty Out There

Good thing Fatass and other democrats have been shutting down nuclear plants, outlawing coal plants and refusing to approve any reactor plans. Not that we'd need the power for air conditioners and electric vehicles:

  • Thousands of customers were left without power in Wisconsin and Illinois amid a heat wave that has driven heat indices north of 115 degrees on Wednesday.

According to WE Energy in Wisconsin, nearly 4,000 customers without power in areas around Kenosha County at approximately 3 p.m., but nearly all of those customers had seen their power restored by the mid-afternoon.

    [...]

According to ComEd, approximately 1,146 customers in Illinois were without power as of 5:30 p.m., primarily in Cook County, with 1,018 customers impacted.

Alternative power is a freaking pipe dream at this point. Everyone saw the report out of Scotland, right?

You didn't? Oh...the American media must not have covered it:

  • Amid a push to build more wind turbines, Scottish Tory MSP Liam Kerr said almost 16 million trees had been felled in Scotland to accommodate wind farms. He cited that concerns over this development had been raised to him “by communities all over the country” and said the public would be “astonished” by the total number of trees cut down.

According to a report by The Telegraph: “Mairi Gougeon, the Rural Affairs Secretary, estimated that 15.7 million trees had been felled since 2000 in land that is currently managed by agency Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) - the equivalent of more than 1,700 per day.

Sixteen million trees - just in Scotland - destroyed in the name of "green energy." We could go on for days, but the heat is supposed to break tonight after just two days, so we won't.

Stay hydrated boys and girls.

(OT) But wondered if SCC had any opinions about the Republican debate and the Trump interview. I know you keep things local mostly as far as news but I think it's relevant. Take Care.

Latest plan in California is to use your car battery to feed power back to the grid when the wind dies out or the clouds cover the solar panels. I hope you don't need to use it before you can spend four hours at home recharging your own personal electric car battery.

Of course the whole green energy movement worldwide is a scam and the do gooders have embraced it. Everything comes from China, windmills, batteries, solar panels which are made in coal fired plants. There are no restrictions on pollution there like there is here. The Biden family took a lot of money from China for this to happen.

Days like yesterday and today are particularly taxing on people of my, a’hem, “physical proportions”. I usually sweat just breathing. Thankfully FLOPs medical exam identified ways for me to combat what ails me. Altho truth be told, I’m slowly embracing my ‘Biscuit’ nickname.

Interesting article I just read about wind turbines in Scotland that are going to be the "green energy" solution. A study was done and found that 16 million trees had been chopped down to make room for the turbines. Where are the tree huggers? Where are the green zealots? Where are the Earth First crazies? Trees play an important part in the world and in the environment,16 million have been removed to save the planet.

Again, it’s Democrats messing everything up just to control(scare)a large group of voters to vote for them so they can retain power. Wake up and stop voting for democrats.

there are 614 parks in Chicago and 70,000 acres of forest preserves in cook co. those spaces are much needed for ev car chargers and solar panel installs once we get the green trees outta da way the clean energy will fix climate change. Screw the deer the wildlife bring in the solar panels with this heat I'll bet you can cook shit right on top of the glass panels. Squirrels can jump on them and fry themselves. Deer will have nothing to graze on but thats okay cuz GREEN NEW DEAL

Put your mask on and take your booster now social distance stay six migrants apart it's only for 2 more weeks to flatten the curvve

I think we really are headed for energy embargos in the future. Wait until the rolling blackouts occur all over Illinois. Thats why the smart meters were invented. So that they can just switch off your electricity from some remote location.

Wind farms, and solar panels will not meet our energy needs in the future. Our electricity needs are growing every year, and our ability to provide it gets curtailed by politicians with an ideology that isn't sustainable. "All the wrong people seem to be in charge everywhere."

We have already seen the future, and it does not work...

I mean they are NEVER bringing Mike the scammer to court they will continue to drag their feet until he croaks so his great name will be enshrined on a government bldg. so let’s just say sorry & get him to get Com-Ed to as Scotty used to say “we need more power captain”!!!!!

Brandon Johnson proposes tax hikes on high-end Chicago homes to fight homelessness

...real estate owners in the second and third tiers would see their tax rates increase to 2% and 3%, respectively, the latter being quadruple the current rate.

..."Bring Chicago Home" is the name of the Johnson administration's initiative to address the needs of the city's growing homeless population.( AKA illegal immigrants) It is projected to take in more than $100 million in revenue per year, which is $60 million less than the coalition's projection from the original proposal.

( a $1 million dollar sale will pay $30,000 in taxes. Do the math on Farleys (also ex white sox owner) $15.8 million sale. THEN ask yourself why ya think the current owner of the white sox is talking about moving himself and the team)

Los Angeles also passed a transfer-tax increase that went into effect in April. Under its policy, property sales of $4 million or more are taxed at a four percent rate, and all sales above $10 million are taxed 5.5 percent. Unlike Evanston, Los Angeles’ new rates have unequivocally hindered luxury sales in the city. The initiative generated just $4 million in revenue during the first month, whereas officially expected it would rake in more than $900 million annually.

GTFOH Taxes -- Last One Out Is A Bag Holder!

Wont you please sell your $1 million dollar plus chicago home or business!?

The $30,000 in Bring Chicago Home real estate transfer taxes ( leaving chicago exit tax penalty) of $30,000 will provide much needed revenue for un-housed lllegal immigrant communities. $30,000 dollars supports one family of four at current rates $7,000 X 4 == $28,000 the remaining 10% is set aside for the big guy

You know whats a cheaper way to solve Chicagos growing homeless crisis. ONE WAY AIR line TICKETS BACK TO SOUTH AMERICA UNTiLL YOU COME back IN THE RIGHT WAY...the legal way

More than one way to skin a cat or Democrat. List your 1M house for 300K, then the buyer can invest in your new property, that's in a corporation, 1 share would equal 700K, which would then be transferred to a non-profit. I'm sure a sharp real estate attorney could craft something like this.
