We don't know whether to be amused by the naivety or amazed at the stupidity:
- A North Side community group is calling for people to refrain from
shooting guns in Chicago between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. to reduce the risk to
people “not involved in high risk activities.”
The proposal from Rogers Park-based Native Sons, known as “The People’s Ordinance,” was recently promoted in an email newsletter by Ald. Maria Hadden (49th).
Shootings are up significantly this year in Rogers Park. Chicago police believe a reignited gang war between local Gangster Disciples and Black P Stones in Uptown is to blame.
“We have to start somewhere,” Tatiana Atkins, co-founder of Native Sons, said. “Our goal is to approach our city’s gun violence problem strategically and not all at once. Things didn’t become this way overnight, and change won’t happen overnight.
It certainly didn't happen overnight. You know how it happened?
- a bunch of people claimed "racism!" where none existed
- a bunch of "progressives" got elected by guilt-ing the lib-tards
- a bunch of dumb laws got passed (sometimes just a policy)
- a bunch of charges got dropped at court - over and over and over
- a bunch of cops realized they were now the "enemy" and stopped caring
- rinse and repeat
Now, you're asking - asking! - gang bangers to stop shooting from 0900 to 2100 and calling crime a "high risk activity."
Anyone over there in la-la-land have any idea who is on the streets prior to 0900 hours? You know, those hours you're granting to the gangs and gunmen to wreak their havoc? We'll give you a hint:

This is what passes for "strategic vision" in Uptown. How about you just give the gangs a total of how many school-aged kids you're willing to accept as casualties? And when they hit that number, then they have to turn in all their guns and knives and drugs and ill-gotten gains.

Sounds a lot like "The Purge". All those fake ass "hate has no home here" lawn garbage. I guess hate has a curfew. OR what they really mean is that anyone who says that mutilating the genitals of an 8 year old is wrong, that's the "hate" they are talking about. As far as the indiscriminate murder and thousands of doomed lives from fentynal, yes their ambiguous hate is only frowned upon for 12 hours of the day so the oblivious ones can visit their coffe boutiques and electric car charging stations.

Make them identify their targets, and where they intend to shoot them.

We have lost, today I hear on the news that a city in Indiana has decided to close all businesses by 11:00PM til 7:00AM why you ask……….. to lower the crime rate in that town! So if you need gas go to a different town I’m sure the small businesses will love losing the revenue & just pushes more businesses out of the area!!!!!!! Here is an idea, teach the rule of law! Sometimes I would like to be a fly on the wall to hear the logic these people use to arrive at conclusions like this. So residents actually negotiate with criminals, possible murderers. If The gang bangers used their heads they could soak the residents for protection money and do their shooting off hours.
