So the folks over at GunsSaveLife.com picked up on our "threatener:"
So yesterday, fellow Illinois blog Second City Cop was threatened by a woman. She claimed “her case” was “her business” and to remove it from SCC. Or else.
What was this case? It involved Jennifer Koniarski who suffered an ankle injury in her third week at Chicago’s Police Academy in 2003. She hadn’t even finished three weeks into a 16-week academy, but she filed a disability claim. Somehow, even though she wasn’t a police officer yet, she managed to get her claim approved and has been drawing disability even though she wasn’t a sworn officer for a single day.
The state, having investigated her claim, recorded her doing all manner of physical activities she claimed she couldn’t do. Without so much as a limp. In so many words, the powers that be discontinued her benefits. She sued and the Appellate Court reinstated her benefits.
This is getting amusing on many levels now.

I used to work at cook county department of corrections.I hurt my neck in lockup and was laid up for a year. The city denied my neck surgery and told me either resign or go back to work. Well my neck got better the next day and ive been riding my harley ever since. Cheers!
Damn, jennifer, the amount of energy it takes to do nothing and get paid is frustrating, isn't it?

Those bastards (LOL) at Guns Save Life are now ahead of you at Google & Yahoo. Poor Jenny. Maybe she should run with Forrest Gump instead of threatening blogs. Not even three weeks into training and she gets a minor injury that gives her disability for life? That's why companies avoid IL.
Can't tell you how many coppers I worked with that got busted up in car wrecks or fighting with crazed maniacs. Went and got fixed and came back to work. Even knew a few guys who actually had MS and were working squad cars right up until they just couldn't function anymore. Her whole story stinks like a dead fish.
This case supports what I have been saying for years now. Corruption and Lowered Standards! Drawing from our pension, when never even reporting for duty in a District. Worthless. UNBELIEVABLE! NUTS!
When I see stuff like this I think am I the fool for working. More scammers than those who do the right thing. The whole system is BS. The system has become garbage in garbage out!
Heck, the decision even made it into the packet that River Forest Police Pension Fund put out. Have to scroll to page 107 of the packet. Quarterly news for 1st responders.

Sadly, in 2023, that problem is now EVERY department. I'd wager ol' Koniarski can even be blamed for staffing issues. It's THAT type of scam b/s that makes us all look bad/

She must have had one heck of an attorney.
Obviously the Pension Board didn't send their best attorney up against her attorney.
Often, and sadly, that can make or break a case.
The real question is: what is her true worth??? What did she bring to the table for LOTS of people to go to bat for her. It defies logic.
