COPA Made Shit Up
Friend of the Blog and Contrarian founder Florian Sohnke levels the big guns at COPA:
For those who are unfamiliar with COPA’s latest fool’s errand, here is what we know. On July 6, COPA received a complaint alleging an officer serving at CPD’s 10th District had engaged in an improper sexual relationship with an underage migrant sheltering at the Ogden station. A most serious charge, the claim against the officer contended a illegal minor had been impregnated as a result of the improper contact. It was also alleged multiple officers — at least four — had engaged in sexual acts with illegals in Ogden.
A story which spread at the speed of light, when the allegations of CPD misconduct were aired in public, it inspired predictable results: Chicago media lost its collective mind, the anti-police movement mobilized and deluged CPD with searing rebukes, and community groups staged protests outside the 10th District building. In this universe of effete liberal opinion, the presumption of innocence is never granted, and officers are always presumed guilty. To the collective of over-caffeinated community organizers, the accused officers were guilty not because the charges were buttressed with evidence whatsoever, but rather because of their physical, familial, and genetic features. All five men were white, male, and served with CPD.
Sohnke also has sources that verify a long suspected truth:
- Sources in CPD’s 10th District have also confirmed the nature of the complaint is found in an acrimonious divorce proceeding and the officer at the center of the claim has not been summoned to speak with COPA.
COPA's entire mission is based on shaping knee-jerk outrage into anti-police narratives that have no basis in reality. Combined with all of the other anti-police movements, it's amazing a single criminal gets arrested any more.

I feel really bad for the officer. Everyone made assumptions about him just because he was “into latin women” because his wife is Latina. So people assumed the accusations must be true, without any proof. Now this officer has to go his career for a while with being known as that guy that was accused of the above. Don’t forget guys, women can get extremely bitter and petty during a divorce. Clearly this guys ex-wife was petty enough to make false accusations like that. It’s horrible. Be careful with what you put a ring on.
What would DC Jerome think if this behavior was actually true?

First impression was it’s another cop leveling the false accusations for revenge of done kind. If it’s a divorcee, that also makes sense.
COPA cannot investigate it's way out of a paper bag.
When we catch COPA lying or violating policies or rights we need to do what they do to us. Sue them! Make them put their assets on paper just like us. That will agent their attention really quick.

I remember reading the story in the fibune and it was a spokesman in the mayors office that confirmed that the "victim" was underage. Lot of blame to go around but no apologies coming. SMH
All Member officers from the district named should sue the city, COPA, and the media outlets for defamation per se. They published this story and the city is liable, as is the media outlets, and COPA especially…. They likely would win an award and it is defamation per se.. to allege rape and abuse, etc like they did
The media is rotten to the core. Have they done a follow up report to inform the public their reports may have been a inaccurate?

Disgusting what COPA, and the city, did to this officer.
COPA is an evil, demonic entity who is hell bent on destroying officer’s lives bc they “believe” accusations to be true with no actual proof. Their investigations are subjective not objective.
COPA searched for over a week, couldn't find a victim, or even anyone who heard of anything close to the allegation made. It should have been dropped here.
Then COPA called in all the PPOs he trained over the last year and a half, naturally notifying them on a Friday, for a hearing Monday morning, allowing no time for FOP to be contacted and secure representation for them.
Then COPA called in his prior partners over the past few years, still nothing.
A deal was in the works to move him to a different district, to help mitigate the embarrassment they were intentionally subjecting him to, then halted the deal stating they wouldn't move him to a district where there were immigrants staying in the lobby (which is every district). The bastards responsible for putting him through this should have Ethics violations, and ARDOC complaints filed against them by the union, and by his attorney.
Super nice guy, always eager to help out others, and pretty well-rounded officer. He never deserved any of this. And for the city and COPA to keep pressing this, knowing he is going through a divorce and custody issues at the same time, absolutely disgusting.
I hope the members of 010 (and his prior district) have his back, and are looking out for him. The stress must be brutal.

There has to be a way to sue them for there illegality! Any good lawyers out there to help out?

I associate the people at COPA with professors and journalists. The 3 truly believe they are the line between oppressive hellish fascism and bright shiny freedom. And they remind everyone of such, as if it were a self induced orgasm. But they are no different than a catalytic converter, expensive, unnecessary, but strictly enforced by big brother.
I have no ill will toward any single person in COPA no more than I do snakes. They are creatures of God, but they are venomous, and being careless around them will get you killed. So I keep a distrustful distance.
But in the end, you can blame COPA for their behavior no more than a petulant little child. This is what the public wanted. The Lincoln Park types want revenge on a system of laws they don't like and their masters (legislators, mayors, governors ect) convinced them that the policeman, a middle class John Q No-name was the culprit. From there, the pitchforks and torches have been common. Incidentally, you'll notice it's never enough. COPA, body cameras, all these things they add to the equation so the public can still insist it's rage filled conclusion.
I must say, it's a little devastating to know your career mission is a political scheme, a ruse. And you've been duped to live and repeat the lie in exchange for cash. I came to that conclusion about my job, it sucks, but got to make money somehow.

Duh. Read the SAFE-T Act!
COPA should be shut down if they do not issue an update exonerating the officers, based on the lack of any evidence. This group has already defamed the integrity of the officers involved, and the CPD as a whole. Perhaps litigation is the only weapon left. If COPA stays silent, COPA-affiliated individuals (and media members) who perpetuated this myth should be forced to seek legal counsel. Time to see THEM shivering in their boots. The days of playing nice are over. I'm willing to support any legal fees fund should it be necessary (I suggest avoid using the anti-cop/pro criminal Go Fund Me organization...though the GFM weasels would likely shut it down anyway).

But the snake does not hate you. They seek no enjoyment from biting you. They just want to mitigate a perceived threat, escape to survive or gain a meal. Their venom is for any and all that come too close.
OTOH, the cold-blooded reptile, the lowliest of reptiles, known as the COPA has venom for us alone. The COPA takes delight, gains enjoyment and is honored by the other COPA reptiles from the top-to-bottom ranks in their den, burrow or hole when they bite to injure or destroy one of us. And, they welcome any scumbag lowlife that can be massaged, twisted and manipulated into assisting them in their goal to get us.
Could some of them truly believe they are the line between oppressive hellish fascism and bright shiny freedom? It is very doubtful. Rather, they are almost all on a crusade motivated by cop hate. The gatekeepers at the local Chicago news stations who determine what gets aired are taking orders from the leftists in government. An update, correction, and apology would not go with the narrative of keeping a wedge between the public and the police. The individuals in the media and government responsible need to be held accountable.

Anyone smart would hire the same attorney Nick Sandmann used for his defamation(or slander) suing the media, city hall, the department, COPA and any jagoff slandering the officers and the district. Remember, these jagoff shitbags won't talk let alone act like they do on camera once they enter the court room.
Again the officer who they in the interviewed has a great defamation per se case against COPA, the city, the mayor and the media outlets. So does the entire district as there were no charges and no one was convicted or even charged but the mere allegation has substantial implications. Send that man to a good PI attorney and the others from the district. It’s a good suit….
Why wasn’t this investigated by BIA?
