Fewer than 2% of the tens of thousands of migrants overwhelming New York City have applied for work authorizations — while no one even knows how many more are eligible to apply, The Post has learned.
Roughly about 800 adult migrants in the Big Apple have filed the proper paperwork to start earning a legal paycheck after nearly 18 months of a border crisis that left the city swamped with a wave of asylum seekers, according to data provided by City Hall.
We've seen reports that the minute they get jobs here, the illegals are tossed out of shelters, which is a sure-fire way to motivate whatever the opposite of a work-ethic is.
How many times have we said it? If you incentivize bad behavior, you're going to get more of it. And the behavior democrats want is unemployed, uneducated and completely reliant on government handouts. You see how it worked in the blue shitholes for decades.

Why work when you get it for free. It will never go back to the way it was. This country is unrecognizable in so many ways. Trump talks big, like always, about deporting them all, never happen. And they won't ever let him win. In Anaheim, CA the loons in charge want to let illegals vote in municipal elections. And they keep coming, look at the photos from Eagle Pass, TX from the other day. It's an invasion, and a large number are young men alone. Look what happened to Sweden.

The avalanche of incomings from other nations will, amongst other things, produce a resurgence in the use of cash for everything.
Paid in cash, spend in cash, never touching the banking systems, just like a century ago.
People will figure out a way.
Unless retail business cuts it's own throat by eliminating accepting cash, which won't last long if they try it, cash will prevail.
And no amount of government enforcers can stop it.
Thus, the respect required from citizens for current concocted laws will slip away and civilization will adjust and survive.

If they do find work it will be in low paying jobs like food preparation. Since we don’t even know who some of them are I would be concerned in that industry that they could spread diseases like tuberculosis, coronaviruses, measles, influenza and so on.

There is no incentive for them to work. Once they get a job they are on their own - housing, food, clothing, transportation, etc. And it's only getting worse with 2000-3000 crossing illegally everyday. This is financially unsustainable for the US. You have to ask, what exactly is the Biden Admin end game.

In New York the migrants are riding unregistered scooters delivering food. They are paying $300 a week to illegally rent a scooter so they can make $500 a week delivering food for restaurants. No license. No insurance. No plate/fake plate. BlS seasonally adjusted number of unemployed for aug was just a bit over 6 mil. now add in the 6 mil illegals and figure what the real unemployment situation is. Be fair there are some children in that count then again there are who knows how many got aways that have not been counted so..
Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 187,000 in August however I think I read 9,000/day is the number of illegals coming in so do the math

There are plenty of manual labor jobs that can be done, and these "migrants" apparently walked thousands of miles to get to the boarder, so they should be in good enough shape to pull their weight.
Nobody wants to work anymore, why would they want to?
