Uninvestigated Scandal?
Here's a rumor that investigative reporters would have killed for back in the day:
- That piece of land is owned by Former Chicago Streets and Sanitation
Commissioner Al Sanchez under Sanchez trucking. The City is paying 90K a
month to rent the piece of land, and that's not including the cost to
build the camp and management company to run the shelter.
Oh so now the City is going to replace the soil for the land, which is extra cost on top of the enormous spending.
Al Sanchez no only winning on getting rent payment but getting soil replaced for free by the city. How about that for under the table deal?
True? All it would take for a reporter to get major headlines would be maybe three phone calls and one trip to a County government office, if that.
But none will, because they're not actually reporters.

This City always complains about having no money yet it sure comes up with millions in a heartbeat. Must be nice having a money tree at City Hall. The City is forking out billions (or soon will be) for these illegals but we only get a 5% raise? Watch how CTU will get 12, 13 14%. Only $2500 retention bonus which will only be like $1700 after the city rapes us on taxes. I guess all that time working through Covid doesn't mean much and now dealing with illegals bringing us a potpourri of diseases with them.

Public corruption and clout by the politically connected and powerful are the life blood of Chicago. Business as usual and nothing to see. The politically connected news media is too busy doing the cover ups and stand silent on corruptive and corrosive activities. All is good in Chiraq. No crime, nothing to say about the illegal alien's influx draining the taxpayer, drinking water, fentanyl crises, roving gangs, flash mobs, murder and mayhem. Sit back and watch the Michigan Ave "Miserable Mile" turn into boarded up stores and the elite condo owners and tourists get robbed, carjacked, beaten and terrified to walk around the downtown area.

What the city didn’t say is will the EPA oversee the contaminated soil or will it just end up in Lawndale like that huge mound of concrete that materialized out of nowhere about 20-25 years ago???????
