Multi-Comment Warning
We've got some simple rules we like people to follow, posted in the right hand side column. 99% of you follow these faithfully, so thanks for that.
But as we get back into the swing of things here, we forgot we have to check the spam folder in the comment sections every so often. We used to do it monthly, but we haven't since the return, and we were surprised at the number of comments that got diverted that way.
Many, perhaps even most of them, are from robot ads for assorted car dealerships, quack medical cures and a bunch of stuff from India. But a sizeable number are from persons who post numerous comments rapid-fire, either in a single post or in a bunch of posts.
Just a warning, if you do multiple comments in a short time frame, the blog programming thinks you're a robot and kicks all of your comments into the spam folder, where we don't see them for weeks or more. We don't control this - it's programmed by eBlogger. We've moderated what we found, but be aware.

So when are these big changes? I only see one commamder that’s now a LT in 012. Who’s the 1st deputy? Who’s the commamder of 024? When are all these Sgt promotions?

New laws...SB 0040: New single-family homes and newly constructed or renovated multi-unit residential buildings that have parking spaces must provide at least one electric vehicle-capable parking space for each residential unit. The law does not require developers or builders to install or run wire or cable for such charging stations, but requires them to construct buildings in a such a way as to allow for the installation of charging stations.
They don't require one parking space per unit in Chicago, interesting how this will play out.
SB 1251: Operators of ambulances or other rescue vehicles must have specified training in the operation of that vehicle. In municipalities with population of under one million residents, sirens and lamps must be in operation at all times when pedestrians and other drivers are present, and when that vehicle has been called to a bona fide emergency or has been directed to disregard traffic laws in the operation of the vehicle. The ambulance must also slow down at red lights to achieve safe operation.
I wonder what prompted this one? SB 1883: It will be unlawful for any person to allow any member of the public to come into direct contact with a bear or nonhuman primate.
HB 3751: Non-citizens who are legally allowed to work in the U.S. will now be eligible to become police officers.
HB 2389: No vehicle shall be stopped or searched by law enforcement solely because of a violation of driving with any object placed or suspended between the driver and front windshield, rear windshield, side wings, or side windows.

Speaking of 012, why on earth does 12 need 10 Lts. Vega on midnights dumped from commander spot to 1st watch and one of Carter’s boy’s Galen Caldwell assigned to 140 and now detailed to 012. 012 is the only district to inherit Carter’s people Victoria Marzullo dumped to 019 3rd watch. Last but not least, the screw up at Special Events Allyson Johnson to Assest Forfeiture. Moves are quietly being made.

They are buying cars more and more, most of which are stolen and sold to them. They are very mobile and all over the place. This national disaster will be touching everyone before it’s over.
I have dealt with untold amounts of Venezuelan people and multiple Angolan, Senegalese, Nigerian, and some unknowns because we don’t speak the language. They are NOT here for asylum. They are here because the southern border is an open gate.
Note they aren’t coming from Canada because Canada unlike Mexico appreciates its countries sovereign status, exactly why all the celebs didn’t move there when Trump was in office. Mexico is escorting them right through and passing them over the border to watch the US crumble
