Governor J.B. Pritzker (D-IL) claimed Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that Republicans were trying to take away Americans’ freedoms.
Pritzker said, “Independents understand that, as Democrats do, that it’s the Republicans that are trying to take your freedoms away. It’s the Republicans that are trying to take away your Social Security and your Medicare. It’s the Republicans that are basically fighting against the working families of America.”
We haven't seen a single bill in Congress regarding anyone taking away anything. In fact, every bill we're reading about is all about expanding spending for illegals, Ukraine, Mid-East, Hunter bribes, etc.
Taking away freedoms? Anyone seen the PICA Act and the unconstitutional gun registry currently being litigated in a number of court venues? Let's not even get into the last few years to COVID "executive orders" where freedoms cease to exist when one fata$$ decides they don't, all while he flies his family (and their horses) to parties and competitions in red states.
That's all the left, the dems, and Fata$$.
And when voters (and a few correct thinking aldercreatures) tried to let Chicagoans have a say in whether-or-not to continue "sanctuary" insanity, it was democrats and progressives who decided that citizens didn't get to have a say.
Really "free" of them.

According to the Demo/Socialist Party, Covid was a national health emergency that required drastic action (suspension of constitutional freedoms) to ensure public health.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, followed by cancer, covid, and stroke. Heart disease, cancer and stroke are all consequences of obesity (https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/basics/consequences.html).
If heart disease, cancer, and stroke are as dangerous or worse than covid, maybe the Demo/Socialist Party should outlaw Gov. Fata$$ from overeating and he should be required (forced) to exercise daily at a Demo/Socialist Party re-education camp. I am sure he would not have a problem with that because we have a national health emergency.
You get what you (collectively) vote for.

Social Security has valid purpose.
Several in fact.
As the retirement/pension it functions well. Well, well enough.
As a minimal income for those authentically disabled, adequately.
Both functions contribute to our economy, since both categories of recipients spend most to all of their income thusly acquired.
It is the corrupting via dishonest, faked disability that is the source of the defect in Social Security application.
As for Medicare/Medicaid:
The 'health care' industry, pharma, physicians, hospitals, clinics, etc., well, greed has not boundries but the individual's innate honesty.
While these dishonest entities do, indeed, bring their own spendings of their less than honest gains in our economy, the masses of employed by same being huge, the perceived waste of taxed income is also valid.
In a way, everyone who spends monies contributes to our economy.
This is the tough conundrum we have always faced.
To consider your own reduced earned income, via taxes, as the only factor is to be mildly the same as those who gain by dishonest means.
To eliminate dishonesty in humans is to crave perfection not to be found in humans.
Not in this world.
To strive to reduce the quantity of dishonest actitivities is both noble and needed.
Just try not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Freedoms isn’t this the same guy that used over $100 million of his mom and dad‘s trust fund money to buy the governors election? SS doesn't function as a pension. It's a ponzi scheme. If it was private sector the people that set it up would be in prison for fraud. Both it and medicare are taking my money BY FORCE and giving it to those that did not earn it.

It's a well know statistic that CCW holders have a lower crime rate in every category than cops do. So low in fact that even though there are an order(or couple) of magnitude more CCWs than cops, cops have more convictions per year for crimes.
