Strange Timing
Conehead is looking to keep a campaign promise at an odd time:
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says he supports ending the controversial Chicago Public Schools program that puts uniformed police officers in dozens of high schools.
The mayor said in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times and WBEZ on Tuesday that he will give the Board of Education the green light to end its $10.3 million contract with the Chicago Police Department. CPS officials told principals in early January to prepare for the possible removal of police officers by next fall.
“The Board of Education is moving in the direction that I do support,” the mayor said in his conference room on City Hall’s fifth floor. “There is an intergovernmental agreement between Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Police Department. To end that agreement, there’s no qualms from me there.”
Staff, students and the PTA from Innovation High School were unavailable for comment....probably because they were busy planning funerals and dodging gunfire. Or maybe condemning Middle East violence like the City Council wasted time on today while ignoring the bloodshed steps away from Jewelers' Row.
We've wanted cops out of schools for nearly our entire careers, so this is long overdue. But the timing....hard to believe this guy is any kind of politician. He sounds like a CTU tool for some reason.

It was hilarious last night after more higb school "STUDENTS" were shot on the north side and fin head was at the press conference. He was busy doing the dog and pony show with the rest of the leftist alderassholes passing the Gaza cease fire, meanwhile the peoples and folks are shooting it up.
BJ wants more cops available for the streets now, because this winter is basically over and the violence is going to start early.

Governor Fat Ass Prickster needs a horrific school shooting with lots of dead children so he can pass his Gun Confiscation Bill. A school resource officer would likely stop the shooter before they kill enough kids to create the needed horror to stampede the legislature into passing a blatantly unconstitutional bill to round up those evil guns.

None of you, not a one should work as off duty security in a CPS school. I don’t care if your kids go there or not, find another side hustle, or work some OT, it’s not that hard.

CPS calls us, drive there while respecting all traffic laws, wait outside for the principal, then take appropriate action.

Great point as the carnage continues, the bodies pile up, the ventilated going to overwhelm hospitals. 2 schools in a couple of days these thugs face no consequences, with crook county letting them walk thanks to jb trust fund baby signing the safe t act bill. Even dupage county the once lawful county is being ravaged and judges there are not holding criminals now like crook county setting them free!

No more sro’s, no argument. But telling off duty po’s not to work side gigs at a school, well you can go fuck yourself. What’s wrong with a 3rd or 1st watch po working in a school? Or you’d rather see those security jobs taken by scum county guys? With ot cuts with the dept, many cpd po’s could use extra money to support their families. However, since you still live with your mom you don’t have to worry much about finances. Now, get back to your basement! Mom has a hot date with the fireman down the block. The meatloaf is ready so help yourself but make sure you rinse your plate before putting it in the dishwasher otherwise it will clog and mom will ground you again.

I was shocked to hear Snelling on the news says there would be an increased police presence at the start and end of school. Maybe he or the mayor could also explain why these students are brought up in a culture that teaches them to settle their differences with deadly violence.
And yet, even though only 22% of CPS high school students can read at the national level, and only 15% are proficient at math, these geniuses walked out of school to educate grown ups about the situation in the Gaza Strip and demand that Israel stop pounding the shit out of Hamas terrorist/murderers.

Does it seem like these moron politicians go out of their way to always do the opposite of what's actually right? I'm actually all for getting the SRO's out of the schools but having them there is better for the kids. Sure the SRO's are lazy as hell but putting them on the watch just means they will be lazy there also and stay down on jobs for hours on end. You gotta love how there are two kids dead and 4 injured from two different schools when they start talking about getting rid of the police again. My guess? They will save the $10 million dollar contract with the Chicago Police so they can hire a private security detail for about $50 million. Probably Mayor Blowjob's brother or nephew who owns it. Oh, and I'm sure the kids will respect the police wanna-be's.

Crane and Juarez high schools asked for police presence at dismissal today. Guess they didn't get the memo.
Meanwhile, many of the schools in my district are requesting that a squad car be present for their dismissal.
Next fall???!! How about remove police from schools tomorrow and put them back on the watch. And to the schools, don't call the police for shit.

Working today, there must have been about 3-4 cps schools calling the desk to get cars for special attentions/ dismissals. I felt like saying Fuck You!!! Yea ok, we have nothing else to do.
Are they still down in special employment Cta cars for dismissals? Is they have been doing for years instead of patrolling the Cta, which is federally funded using federal dollars to sit on public schools just asking.
