What Gun-Free Zone?
If this isn't already a homicide, it will be shortly:
- Prosecutors say a three-time convicted felon shot a Chicago woman in
the head after she told him he could not have a gun in her house during a
party. In a court filing, officials said the woman’s injury is
“non-survivable.”
The woman was hosting a party at her home in the 6500 block of South Langley last Saturday evening, January 27, and 39-year-old Michael Ross was among her many guests, prosecutors said. Two children were also in attendance.
Throughout the night, “many” partygoers saw Ross with a gun, and the 40-year-old party host confronted him about it when she saw the weapon around 8:30 p.m., according to the state’s detention petition and a CPD report.
After the woman told Ross he could not have a gun in her home, the two struggled over the weapon and fell to the floor, officials said. When they both stood back

They're not really interested in stopping “gun violence.” They just want to DISARM YOU.

Gun control is not about preventing murder/robbery/assault etc...etc...etc... It is about disarming you uppity citizens so you can't resist the oppression and tyranny they have planned for you.
Certain humans, cretins in their natures, always seek to impose upon others what they consider to be their versions of reasonable.
The innate unreasonableness of imposing upon negates everything they profess to be reasonable.
These cretinous humans seek authorities, via politics, to pay others, also somewhat cretinous, to apply the force neccesary to compel those authentically reasonable to submit to their cretinous schemes.
To what end, you may wonder?
Why, the only end the cretins want: to be the boss over others not cretinous.

Make better choices on who you invite to your home. I've consistently hosted numerous guests armed with guns at my home, in my vehicles, on my property, etc., without any concern for anyone being shot in the head. The difference is they all carried those guns legally and responsibly. Also, none were even once convicted felons. I'm sure she couldn't have possibly known that this wonderful person might bring a gun and use it in an unlawful manner. There was probably an intense background check for all guests at her party.

There is one demographic that is responsible for the bulk of murders and shootings in Chicago, however no one wants to deal with this fact. Until people want to deal with this there will continue to be more and more of these shootings.

Please explain your "logic." A 3 time felon who is not eligible to legally possess a gun, is going to register his illegally owned gun that he probably stole in the first place? Registering that gun would prevent him from using it to commit violent crimes? I can never figure out how you proponents of more and more restrictions on legal gun owners assume gun crimes will be lessened as a result. All gun crimes are already illegal. That's why they're crimes. Murder is illegal. This guy broke about 15 different laws in order to accomplish this soon-to-be murder. You think more laws would have stopped him? You think making it harder to legally own a gun will somehow stop criminals from illegally obtaining guns? It's mind-boggling to even try to comprehend the absolute stupidity in your thought processes. Every single crime committed with a gun is already illegal. That didn't stop any of them from occurring. Meanwhile, I've been within 3 feet of a gun for most of my life, and currently own more than 20, yet somehow I've managed not to commit a single crime with any of them. Strangely enough, none of those guns has ever decided to commit a crime on its own either. Maybe the guns and the laws aren't the problem. Maybe, just maybe, it's the criminals who are the problem. Criminals don't register their stolen weapons or stolen cars, and they don't follow laws.
