Are These All DEI Hires?
Larritorious, check your staff:
- OT Rumor - Any truth to it that the Cmdr of Area 1 Det’s didn’t go to scene of the Huesca murder
It gets better than that. None of the three Lts at the Area went to the scene that night and showed up the next day and had no clue what was going on. Why do u think this investigation is so messed up. Look who we have as the supposed “leaders” here
And after you check your staff, start replacing a few of these assholes.
Labels: rumors, un-fucking-believable

She went to the scene, didn’t think it was necessary to call her LTs or Sgt’s and said it wasn’t an Area 1 investigation. While true IRT was going to handle it, she should have had them all there coordinating. The incompetence from both her and the Area 2 commander on the last few police shootings have been indicators that they shouldn’t be in those spots.
Well if that’s true he better be demoting that person. Wasn’t too long ago he demoted a person of the same rank allegedly for not going to the scene of a fatal dui. Or could’ve been his hate for the person he demoted…..
Not fucking surprised one bit! All merit hacks! And these so called bosses expect us to do what?? Fuck off you piece of garbage white shirt.
If this is true, and I would not be surprised if it is, this department is toast.
Are any of you surprised by this?! These Sgt Lt and above think they are made of gold.. they “work” a few hours and go home. The worse bunch will do that and then put in a slip for OT. Check these clowns at openthebooks.
Fire their asses!,, that piece of shit Rodney Blisset did same exact thing in Area 2 on these types of cases. I recall a time in past when area 1 commander was dumped for same thing I believe it was Nate Gibson
This is a hate crime plain and simple and this Xavier Asshole is just a killer not a lone carjacker a f$&cking killer these stupid bosses should be fired period.
I have no clue who any of the people discussed here are…but let’s hold up a minute. If none of the people who are supposed to notify the LT, notify the LT…..the only thing the LT is guilty of is not watching the news.
If true - it's a fucking disgrace. I am not surprised though - most of white shirts are total tools these days, they have no class, no shame, no manners and are very unprofessional. Some top it off with arrogance, ignorance, bad attitude and egomania. RIP brother in blue.
Notifications weren’t made. Not the lieutenants fault. 1st Watch Sgt should be the new 1st Watch Foot Sergeant in 003.
Are you surprised? Don’t forget the White Sox Park shooting that the Area shit canned.
Take it easy on the Area 1 Detective Commander. According to Trellis.law, she’s going through a messy divorce.
T walker A1 DEI video spoke person. She needs to go she was bs in 005 and narc south
Too busy to go to the scene of a police homicide? Don’t worry nothing will happen to her, the Supe used to work with Commander Watson’s mother years ago. He puts sh-t like the above the obvious.
Dump her ass!
Yeah, they took the entire investigation away from her. She showed up not knowing a thing. I have no respect for her.
Sounds like a pattern. Sounds like a major Inattention to Duty. If you failed to show up to a job, what would happen?
Too many incompetent supervisors hiding in the Areas. Bullshitting their way each day. RIP Brother!
Well not surprising when you got a Homicide Lt. MK who was never a detective, wouldn't know how to work a case to save his life and was as clueless as they come as a clouted RBT Sgt, makes lieutenant in the 300's and goes straight back to Area 1 completely bypassing any time in a district. Wtf do you expect?? And this guy is charge of homicide investigations??? And you wonder why the clearance rate is in the toilet? Bwwaaaaaaa!!!
Nikki was only good at doing the cake and coffee runs, not solving cases. Point is don't give gold stars to gophers.
Fake news: everyone working 1st watch went.
I bet all of their spouses thought they were at work.
commander didn’t go and Homcide and VC never showed. None of them could aid in any investigation anyway. VC Lt goes around making inappropriate jokes and brags how much ot he gets.
These are all Waller picks, zero intelligence and zero accountability.
Area 1 isn’t handling the case.
It’s an IRT case.
Somebody probably still should have showed face, but the case is not something they are overseeing.
Don’t know what’s worse. This or that goof bow tie wearing idiot lt from area 4 that sticks his nose in everything and is a complete moron.
Larry can only replace a designated 10% of these clowns. Every last one comes from the Hall. Hillard and Cline were allowed 25%. The last few only get 10.
why would there be 3 Lts. in Area 1 on midnights?
Its there time !!!!!!!!
As for the “leaders” not showing up that is probably a very good thing. Besides, they know it is about timing……they will be front and center upon completion of a successful investigation.
KA was launched from A/2 for a variety of things including never coming to work and being a little to friendly with her former boyfriend now Dep. Chief Rock. Yet, Eric Carter “believed in her” enough to put her back in the detective Div. As a Lt.
oh disregard, you meant the Lt's from all watches duh.
It’s no surprise that the command staff is totally incompetent. The problem is that these progressives think that the agenda of diversifying this department is a good thing. Well, it’s not. You’re promoting people that have never done the job that they’re promoted to do and the only reason they’re promoted is because of their race, gender or sexual preference. There is no bigger crime in the world than a police officer getting murdered. The fact that 3 lieutenants and a commander of an area were not on scene of police murder is outrageous. The 3 lieutenants should be dumped and the command demoted.
Name Names on this one!!!
LT from IRT, and homicide LT’s from A/1 (MK), A/5 (NF) and A/4 (MM) were on scene.
The punk was in another state by the time NW got there. I wish I could be a fly on the wall at the Area.
When duty and honor are not prioritized, you know the department has changed forever. Guess the brass needed their beauty sleep.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say all involved are merit promotees. Merit promotions the gift that keeps on giving. Don't worry nothing will happen to any of them they were probably promoted with the Sup.
True story...
I used to work for a Lt. who would show up, and just before he left ask who had the paper? Then he went to that unit and said "don't put me on any paper"...
what a pooch
Remember kids, DEI is an abbreviation for "DIVERSITY, EXCLUSION, INCOMPETENCE"...

It’s no surprise that the command staff is totally incompetent.
The movie “Idiocracy” comes to mind. Life imitating art.
How about the “Violent Crimes” Lt in Area 1 who walks around the floor bragging that he doesn’t know what he’s doing and doesn’t care. Who put this guy in a Area?
Someone needs explain how Nicki Watson is a Commander of police. Never passed a test and never did anything on this job.
If people only knew the incompetence at Area 1
If ranking individuals were notified and didn't show up, that is shameful. However, don't act like their presence was necessary. It seems that IRT did a thorough job investigating and identifying the suspect(s). Would any of them have contributed anything besides getting in the way? Practically every job position in life has a supervisor above them, this is necessary whether people like it or not. But, a sharp detective who has the experience doesn't need to be told what to do on a crime scene. Unfortunately, many of the best have retired and the D-Unit is young without much institutional knowledge left to be passed on.
Sure hope that the rest of the Department knew that this guy was wanted for Off. Huesca’s murder. Nothing but bad things could happen when everybody else except the Detective’s in Area One are riding around blind.
Way back in February of 1982, the Wilson brothers assasinated P.O.’s Fahy and O’Brien at 81st and Morgan. They were actually returning from P.O. Jimmy Doyle’s funeral who had been killed the week before near 79th and Vincennes. After some great police work by the Detective’s in Area 2 the Wilson brothers were identified. For several days there was a man hunt, literally. Certain Tact teams and Detectives units eventually arrested the Wilsons in different parts of the City. I don’t think Patrol was ever made aware who to look for.
Anyway, here’s the problem. It was decided to keep it quiet for several days that the Wilsons were wanted. Thing is Wilsons knew they were wanted and in the wind. They had already killed two policeman. Their original plan was to break out the killer of Jimmy Doyle so they weren’t going to just give up.
People knew what kind of car they were driving. What do you think would have happened if some poor beat guy working alone pulled them over for a simple traffic violation? My point is I really don’t like when the Detective Division has information and doesn’t keep the Patrol Division clued in.
True story: The Ol’Man makes Lt. in 1970 and gets shipped off to 021. One man car in 002 is attacked on a traffic stop in 002 and during the struggle to retain his weapon shoots and kills dude-in 002. Not a single 002nd District supervisor above the rank of sergeant appeared at the scene and the Ol’ Man handled the fatal shooting-successfully and on his own. This was the period of Renault Robinson and the black militants of the Afro American Police Association and the 002nd Dstrict was one of the epicenters of hostility directed at white policemen-for being white. So the involved officer got lucky that night and two decades later recounted this incident to me when, by chance, he picked up the phone when I made a notification to the “D” one evening. So fast forward and the meritorious promotion of incompetents-incompetent by every measure-have supplanted outright race based promotions of the past and once again guarantee the willful mishandling of even the most serious incidents.

Don’t forget, Lt. MK was never a detective. Far from it. He just sat over in 011 collecting lawsuits. He kissed Lt. Poland’s ass to get to the area. But now he’s trying hard for the commander spot in the Area 1. You should see him at Compstat.

I thought the Violent Crime Lt. transferred out. I still don’t know his name. I call him Lt. Ghost.

KA was launched from A/2 for a variety of things including never coming to work and being a little to friendly with her former boyfriend now Dep. Chief Rock. Yet, Eric Carter “believed in her” enough to put her back in the detective Div. As a Lt.
I remember that! Chief of Detective Melissa Staples dumped both of their asses.
Maybe not having the merit bosses on the scene is a good thing. Odds are they would add nothing but confusion trying to be in charge and have no skills or experience to aid the investigation.
I wouldn’t been more surprised to hear reports that the Area 1 Detective Commander showed up and conducted herself appropriately. I would’ve passed out if I saw her coordinating efforts. She wanted nothing to do with the investigation, so she took her time responding.
Messy divorce? Who cares no excuse for failing to do the job. Lighten up my ass she deserves every bit of criticism.
Well the Sup is interviewing people for commander.
Ok Supe,
A few months ago a male, White Deputy Chief was DEMOTED for not responding to an officer involved DUI w/ fatalities. At the same time a female, Hispanic Lt. from the Area 1 failed to show up to the Sox Park shooting, and she was not dumped. Now, a female, Black Commander has failed to show up to an officer involved homicide that occurred in her Area and she was not dumped. Just say it without saying it. You’re a racist.
Nicki Watson should never have been promoted to anything on this job. Yet this useless person received 3 merit promotions after never doing a thing on this job.
Why is IRT handling this and not Area 1? It’s a homicide investigation
Commander A. Watson only spent 4 months as a meritorious lieutenant before being promoted to Commander of an Area. Send her right back as a field lieutenant.
JUMPIN JIMMENY SAYS:
You real cops do realize that this is all being done intentionally, don’t you ?
The expectation of quality in those chosen by their expectorations being satisfyingly abundant upon the nethers of the politicals is more than a bit naive.
Retired here. What is IRT?
On the topic of morons. 1 day of caravans, congested streets, chaos, wasn’t enough…so yea let’s do a 2 day fest.

Well, at least he’s honest. The idiot walks past detectives and does the Shoulders Tapping Prank all day long. You know the prank where you tap somebody's shoulder so they'd look in that direction? He distracts the guys from doing their work, shrugs his shoulders and brags about not knowing what he’s doing.
Why is IRT handling this and not Area 1? It’s a homicide investigation

Definitely that froggy goof introducing himself to grieving officers as “Acting Commander for the week”
Watson = Crossing Guard at best.
Not sure if she was on scene but I did see her at the hospital

Was a certain retired detective from 620 (C.T.) the reason for the divorce? Maybe he could have suggested to her that she need respond to the scene ASAP.
What's DEI stand for?
the only thing the LT is guilty of is not watching the news.
4/27/2024 01:56:00 AM
I get it but look, to some just having to come in to work each night is depressing. The news is even more depressing! But local news ain't on at 3a.m. if I'm. Ot mistaken
Wait until her friend triple merit Mo Haleem shows back up in Area 1. Three time merit moron who kisses the exempts ass then blasts them behind their back. Just got merit Lt in the last class and telling people he’s going back to the Area. Please don’t ruin the Area even more. Stop this bullshit now.

Not going to happen. Area 1 commander will be out of there soon. Her replacement will be a nightmare for those that do not work and for supervisors that don’t show up. The workers will thrive and the rest will get run out. You heard it here first.
Lots of movement and promotions coming soon. MK, KA, will be on the first bus out.
5100A was there.
These bosses can’t show up to a crime scene, but they will make sure to show up to districts to write people up for uniform infractions days after the incident, during a time of mourning (true story). What a joke.

Unless the boss has a vital critical function to add to the situation, stay away. Bosses show up and begin to think they are important. Start issuing orders to issue orders. Resulting in a Class 1 Clusterfuck.
If you aren't critical, STAY AWAY.

Dumbf&#kery, exclusion, incompetence.
Sounds like the Area 1 Detective Division is in need of leadership. The other Areas make the blog sometimes, but the Area 1 seems to be the headline each week. All available Exempts should respond to the scene of police involved homicides. It would be different if it was one of your officers, then I could see you responding to the hospital.

I know at least 15 lieutenants, that wouldn’t mind responding to crime scenes. They do it each day in patrol.
The scarcity of Exempt dipshit Lts. on the scene was a plus. Think about it. What could these hapless dimwits contribute to a serious investigation? So, a hearty "thanks" to each and every Exempt political hack who stayed away! Your not being on the scene, contributing your ignorance is appreciated by all actual police officers.
Let me guess. Lt. JC is the shoulder tapping prankster that doesn’t know what he’s doing? There’s only 3 Lt’s over there.

Investigative Response Team
"The Bureau of Detectives is responsible for investigating select felonies and select misdemeanors; the processing of juvenile offenders and the care of juveniles who need protective services; missing and found persons; and other incidents designated by the chief. The bureau consists of the following units and sections:
The Investigative Response Team is responsible for investigating the underlying and surrounding crimes in all instances where a department member discharges a firearm in the direction of a person and all incidences of officer-involved deaths.
NOTE: The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) maintains investigative authority over the department members’ actions.
"...The Investigative Response Team (IRT) was created in 2017. IRT is on call twenty-four hours a day and is responsible for investigating the underlying crime in all officer-involved shootings that occur within the city limits. This includes outside agencies who are involved in a weapons-discharge incident. The unit is also responsible for investigating the circumstances involving all officer-involved death investigations. IRT is the lead investigating body for instances where a police officer sustains a non-fatal gunshot wound. IRT is comprised of over twenty senior detectives, most of who previously worked as lead homicide investigators on hundreds of homicide cases. The detectives assigned to IRT collectively have over five hundred years of law enforcement experience, making them some of the most talented and seasoned investigators the Chicago Police Department has to offer."

The Cmdr in A2 D Unit DB is a total POS. 100% - Always at a 10, loud & ignorant, always on the defense, doesnt actually listen because it’s easier to be an ignorant pompous POS. Doesn’t know her a$$ from hole in ground. vs listening. Every promotion was merit. DB was part of the cheating LT class. In way over her head.
When she was Area 2 D Unit Sgt (merit) she let a few Det’s run the show because she was clearly clueless, didn’t wanna look more stupid, but also because was spending all her time (on & off duty) helping the family business.
Now she’s 100% micro managing RBT, VC & SVU. Sgts are to be seen not heard. And while she’s beefing up Homicide shes depleting other units. On a good day - SVU has a total of 3 Dets. VC ain’t much better. She rewards the dogs & punishes the workers. Example: 2 fresh outta academy merit Dets were given take home cars because they would run her stats couple times a month for comp stat mtg. They did nothing else. Can’t tell ya the last time a new Det was actually assigned properly in GA were it needed. Most go to area and are hidden. DB has the most admin Det/Officers so much so they all don’t fit in office. They could be running comp stats.
All Merit Hack DB needs to gooooo. Moral is low enough. Position should go to well rounded LT KW who’s made every promotion off the list and knows his stuff.
Feel like the CHEIF OF DETS would be appalled if she knew how bad it was w all of DB doings.
Send HELP! They need it.
Area 1 is a hot mess we need help . From the top to bottom. You have a detective that hasn’t worked a case straight to commander Secretary watch some of new det with no experience be taken care of with Cush spots already in the works. This is why the ship is sinking. Oversight offices depleted Ga running thru list insane
IRT is comprised of over twenty senior detectives, most of who previously worked as lead homicide investigators on hundreds of homicide cases. The detectives assigned to IRT collectively have over five hundred years of law enforcement experience, making them some of the most talented and seasoned investigators the Chicago Police Department has to offer.

I think this is true. U don’t work in A1 I recommend you find work elsewhere if this guy gets it. Old school detective area mentality of how it should operate will be in full effect. Girls with 6 years won’t be working the desk or inside spots.

I had Cmdr Cronin (the guy Phat Phil promoted from PO to Cmdr) show up on a shooting involving UC narcotics officers, back when Areas still did police shootings. He personally picked up and took a cut off ankle monitor (that was evidence marked in an alley) and it took a good two hours before Detectives handling the scene were even informed of it. Yes, I agree- sometimes the fewer the better.
