Cop Injured
- Three people were hurt in a crash involving a Chicago police squad car Friday.
The crash happened in West Woodlawn in the 6300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue.
Chicago police say the squad car hit a red Kia. One officer and a 31-year-old woman and 64-year-old woman were taken to the University of Chicago Hospital for treatment with minor injuries, CPD said. All three were in good condition.
Speedy recovery wished to the Officer....we need all hands on deck this summer. you wouldn't want to miss all the excitement, right?

OT: WGN news covers house fire in Englewood by interviewing neighbor "saved" by support doggie. One building totally involved with a structure on each side. The first companies on the scene quickly "knocked down the fire" and contained it to the structure of origin.
Not a word about the swift actions of CFD to save the interviewee's home (the news did talk to the BC re: spread of fire). All of those firefighters did their job quickly and efficiently due to experience at previous fires in the area.
I'm willing to bet the majority of those FF's happened to be white.

They didn't mention who was at fault, so I'm guessing it wasn't the police. If the police were at fault, they'd surely mention it.
