- Two men were robbed by a group of suspects armed with handguns and rifles on the Northwest Side Thursday morning, Chicago police said.

That "more than a dozen" they cite?
But don't worry, NBC doesn't describe the suspects any better than ABC did.
But they did describe the car as "black" though, so that's something.

Saw the first DexterReed graduation photo today.
What were the races of the victims? You know, for data collection and perspective. If the victims were chosen because of their race, would they be a hate crime? What about the races of all victims in a crime spree?
In a police shooting, the media loves to report the races of the officers and offenders (MSM calls them "victims" for some reason). Why not be consistent and report the races of all suspects and victims in these horrendous armed robberies, carjackings and shootings?
I can really hear the crickets just thinking what the MSM would say...
Can you imagine the media coverage if one gang/ group of white teens or whites in their 20s went to black middle-class neighborhoods to rob, carjack and shoot black citizens in cars stolen from other areas?
Is Eric Holder or Henry Gates around for that conversation?
After reading the link to the ABC7 article, it's clear their coverage is amateurish compared to CWB's reporting.
Questions to ask after reading both articles are: how did the offender who lives in DeKalb link up with Chicago offenders? how did the car get stolen in Green Bay, Wisconsin? How did that car make it from Green Bay to Chicago?
As a police officer, I can make some guesses, but wouldn't these answers make for a better story for our uninformed readers?

The TRRs show the four officers fired 79 shots to the 17 fired by the offender. In 41 seconds. That is an average of 19 per officer. That's not excessive. One officer fired something like 34 times, that means he fired two times for every shot fired by the offender. Again, it doesn't seem excessive. Some officers fired less than 17 shots, which shows they were not excessive at all.
Yet Andrea Kersten is sticking to the COPA mantra that all 96 shots were fired by the officers, and not one media outlet is questioning these discrepancies (except SCC).
