Hiring by Address

Remember yesterday's post about the Inspector General hiring people with criminal records?

The Department of Human Resources - essentially the hiring body for the entire city - is revamping practices across the entire city, evaluating applicants....by Zip Code:

Persons who fall into the "Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Areas" or something like that, will receive hiring preferences over everyone, even military veterans.

The so-called "SEDA" areas cover 006, 007, 011 and 015 and your address takes priority over all other hiring considerations.

So, whites need not apply? Why does the city not just come out and say it? I'm pretty sure they can get some Democrat judge to bless off on it if they use enough leftist word salad buzz words.

As for Chicago becoming Detroit 2.0, we already have the rampant crime. Only difference is it's not OCP in charge but CTU.

Oh, look... it's secret affirmative action. I fail to see how zip code figures into one's qualifications for a certain job. I also fail to see how having been "educated" by CPS would make one more qualified for any position, other than criminal activity. These supposedly non-racial categories are clearly being used to hire based on race, which I believe is the opposite of that whole EEOC business. Seems like grounds for a lawsuit if you're passed over. Might be time for a bunch of white people to apply to all these positions just to be passed over for less qualified applicants of the chosen race.

OEMC is a perfect example of that. It’s about 75% Trotter’s Church Peoples (or Folks). I work there and see it all the time all the new hires for the police operations are exactly what you would expect. My partner’s daughter applied for the police dispatch job 6 months ago passed all exams clean but they have a 60631 zip code. Still isn’t hired but they sure steadily trickle in the walruses with the fake lashes and finger nails on a regular basis.

Why discriminate by race, when you can discriminate by an applicant's address?

As soon as city services fall to the wayside, it's always the beginning of the end. The only thing keeping some competency are the old timer supervisors in various departments. They can make up for sone of the stupidity of the DEI underlings. Unfortunately the experienced managers are retiring and will be replaced by idiot's. Morond supervised by morons is the death nail.

I wonder how much worse it would be W/O an amazing group of professionals in uniform?? Some take the men & women in blue for granted, some just outright hate those same men & women in blue. But the fact remains that W/O that thin blue line all of us would be in grave danger! Who needs cops??…………… Everyone of us, next time you see a police officer doing their job instead of cursing them out honk & wave. Do what I do, just tell them to be safe & thank them. Would you run TOWARDS gunfire?? Would you stop your car & get out & walk into a hostile environment by yourself??? Many of us would say no!! I know I would!! But yet these officers do just that daily! And I don’t mean the old mayor.

I am not the police but I am a police supporter. Be safe, go home the same way you left your house & family. God bless you all!

And they’ll have access to all your sensitive personal and financial and medical information. Make sure to keep debit cards and checks out of the system. Debit cards tired to your bank as are routing numbers and account numbers. Set up second checking account just to deal with city and only put in necessary funds. Time for a PO Box and start shifting mail there. If they go this route Dude will sell all you info to the hood rats.

Honorably discharged Military vet here. Never agreed with military or any other preference. Reservists milk the pref system. Never agreed with link cards or hand out for single mothers of any race, except legitimate disability or widow. Someone’s bad decisions should not be society’s problems. F this city, county and state.

Please don't use their idiotic "reverse racism" term. It implies that racism was ever just a one-way street. Racism is equally applicable to every race. There is no reverse racism, just racism. Racism against blacks is racism. Racism against whites, which is far more prevalent today, mostly from blacks, is racism. The invention of the nonsensical and nonexistent "systemic racism" has confused everyone about what racism actually is. Many even make the racist and idiotic claim that you can't be racist toward white people.

As many have said put black coppers in black neighborhoods that way the neighborhood people can’t aspire to be better they don’t like people that are not black, so let them have At it! Thirty-eight recruits were slated to begin training at the Pittsburgh Police academy on May 20. But 23 of those recruits didn’t make it through a psychological evaluation to determine their mental fitness for the job.


...One particular concern is that a disproportionate number of the candidates rejected by psychologists were Black: five Black recruits, almost the entire Black contingent, didn’t make it to the academy. This comes as the first two classes under Mayor Ed Gainey’s leadership have had only three Black or biracial officers. This should prompt corrective action.

That is like the “RedLining” of mortgages for real estate sales in the 60s that the blacks could not get a mortgage in certain neighborhoods. I believe the feds put a stop to it by creating some new laws.

Private companies can use background screening companies and can have their own standards. What constitutes " failing" a background check is up for definition. I recall when having a criminal conviction on your record, especially for crimes of moral turpitude, would eliminate a person from the police department. Not so much these days. When I worked on the West side, a Black contractor that I knew told me he had plenty of jobs but could not find many people who were sober.
