Like a bad penny, Drunk-Oral-Sex-Underwear-Burner Johnson keeps turning up:

with ShotSpotter, members of the Save ShotSpotter Campaign gathered at
City Hall to voice their support.
They were joined by a familiar face—former Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson, who was leading the department when it first began using the gunshot detection technology in 2017.
Johnson was adamant that he is not being paid by the company behind ShotSpotter, SoundThinking, to promote it. He said he just thinks it works.
Why anyone would seek out - and print - the opinion of this idiot is amazing. the rest of the article is a bunch of fluff parroting the "progressive" narrative that the technology doesn't work....except when it directs police to the scene of Lil Homicide shooting at people in cars, then it's just racist.
And it finishes with this statement:
- The Cook County State's Attorney's office has also said the system has "minimal return on investment" when it comes to holding shooters accountable.
Accountable???
This from the office of Crimesha, shooter's best friend, hugger of convicted murderers, utter failure in prosecuting gun crimes, releaser of shoplifters, battery offenders, burglars, and lover of rapists.

I just need to know if Kidney Bean Jr. believes in shotspotter. I hear what a great guy he is in 006 on midnights, so his opinion is really important to me. I don't even care that he's only on the job because daddy got the rules changed just for him. He'll make a great sergeant inside somewhere.

Shotspotter should give the news a tutorial to promote that it actually works! All this nonsense that it doesn’t work is BS! It’s a super good tool for getting us exactly where we need to be fast. Phone calls most of the time put us closer to the callers. Crank calls are also revealed and manpower isn’t needlessly waisted. It’s also helpful verify information with investigations. Keep Shotspotter great tool for us to do our job!

Eddie Johnson was put in the supes position following the Laquan McDonald incident. It was rumored he got the spot after the lieutenant scandal involving his then wife Fenner, so Rahm could control him hang that scandal over his head. Eddie is an absolute moron that has about as much business being a supervisor on this job as I do being a brain surgeon. Eddie turned this job into what it is now by promoting his idiot friends. Not one of Fat Ed’s picks is worthy of any promotion.
I'm sure Shotspotter is a useful tool, it but appears many of the Wards that have it don't want it, or they wouldn't have voted the way they did. So, fine, yank it out. The city will save money, the law-abiding Wards that actually call 911 will get more police protection and the lawless Wards that support Brandon will stew in their own juices.
Eddie Johnson didn’t say it for money. He made the statement to get ahead, so to speak.

well,,,, if your job is to get to the scene where shot spotter detected shots and you find and then chase a criminal with a gun who then turns toward you and you shoot him and you end up getting fired, then yes,,, it helps
I love it. My hole is a really good one and is also soundproof - be damned if I can hear even a single shot in the area, especially while watching Netflix.

Define minimal. Let’s just say 300 UUW offenders in a year are the result of shot spotter alerts. That’s a great number of gun arrests. But when there’s 1,000s upon 1,000s of shot spotter alerts it looks minimal. Hey Crimesha, why don’t you or the department release the amount of UUW arrests that are results of shot spotter alerts ?? Yea, can’t release those numbers because the demographics of the offenders might be released too. And we can’t have that now can we.

I heard from a squirrel I know who was in a tree washing his nuts from the winter cache. Anyway he said that when Crimesha allegedly beats her husband she makes him wear a CPD uniform shirt.
