Two Faced Politicians
Of course, that's redundant, especially here in Illinois. Representatives don't actually represent citizens - they represent corporations, the affluent, their political party, but seldom (if ever) the people who put them in their spots.
Case in point - that "justice impacted individuals" renaming money-pit bull$hit:
- Once again (for Northwest siders) Martwick and La Pointe voted yes for this nonsense. They talk like they support us but are in the progressive defund and demonize the police crowd.
They run as centrist democrats, but once out of sight, they revert to "progressive" commies.

I still remember when JCat urged us to vote for that prick Martwick. Just as soon as he took office he found a way to stick it to the police. I've learned two things, any FOP endorsed candidates lose (most of the time) or when they seldomly win, they turned out to be non "pro police" candidates.
Vote em out.
I know Republicans are far from perfect. At this point, however, if you vote for anybody with a D next to their name then you deserve the shit leftist, clown world government you voted for.
I look forward to their glossy election mailers when they are running. Slick half truths to no truth at all. They are great smear artists on whom ever they are running against. Tired of the photos of family members who aren't running for office. Both are proteges of grand auntie Preckwrinkle. Just found a site (votesmart.org) which tells politician's positions, voting etc. Pretty easy to use.
The bucket of roiling maggot heads is being constantly refilled by the voracious and insatiable appetites of the parasitic politicals.
Were their hands to be removed by the meat cleaver method, they would still strive to jam their arm stumps up the buttholes of all.
A moab drop upon the area where they regularly cluster themselves would be an effective way to dwindle their potency and queer their games.
They know that, like trying to purge your abode of termites by eliminating them a few termites at a time is futile, elections nibbling away at their brood is as such.
Whatever -ist or -ism is applied to these ones is merely a word variety of the basic one: controlfreaks.

They will quickly point out the policeman next door....as they howl and lead the mob.
Please excuse my cynicism, but I think the overwhelming majority of politicians in the entire country represent the interests of the government, lobbyists, corporations, etc. This isn't just isolated to our hell hole of a city. But, I hope I'm wrong.
Off topic & not Police - as another 3 day weekend approaches and welcomes summer, the thinning of the herd might get wild. Be safe, get home safe and thank you for what you do.

On the southwest side newly elected “pro police” rep Mary Gill supported it as well. Shameful. She’s just as bad as Fran Hurley.
They are Democrats doing what ALL democrats do lie to your face then follow the party rule. Only good Democrat is a room temp Democrat except in Chicago where they still rise up and vote.
They get paid to vote with party leaders with campaign funds and not being primaried. They wouldn't get a dime of campaign funds otherwise and would lose their seat.

Get it through your heads, the voters want this in Illinois. Yes, even in NW side Cop Land. Look at your neighbors. Especially the women. All that matters is that they vote positively whenever a pension bill comes up.
All politicians work in their own interest and the interest of their respective political party. Even the so called "pro police" politicians like Darren Bailey, Nick Sposato, Sylviana Tabares, Ray Lopez, etc...
Do not be fooled. We have zero power over them. The good news though is that our power rests on our own hands. We must be unified in our demands and action. That alone is a powerful force.
It just goes to show you that North siders do not think like normal people.
What are the odds they change 'Victim' as well? Can't be a crime if there's no victim.

Take the "c" in "democrat" and turn it downwards toward hell, and you get "demonrat." And these demonrats will do just like you said; it's in their name.

Martwick was always a POS that only cares about himself. He can thank daddy's money for it.
He left the burbs to move to the city as he waits for Alderman Sposato not to run so he can take his spot. As my Dad always says "He is another one that speaks out of both sides of his mouth". Never believe him. In my option. A real a--hole.
