One Way to Stop Crime
Simple remove the "temptation" from the dregs of society:
Officials in Oakland, California, removed traffic lights from an intersection and replaced them with stop signs amid rampant thefts some attribute to a homeless encampment.
Neighbors claim people have been stealing copper wires and city infrastructure, Fox News reported Sunday. Even though authorities have put cement barriers over electrical boxes to deter people from tampering with them, the problem has apparently persisted.
Officials have since removed one intersection’s traffic lights, and drivers must make sure to halt for the red stop signs that have replaced them.
If you don't prosecute crime, you get more of it.
And if it keeps occurring, then you take down traffic lights or you sue Kia (or Glock) because you still refuse to prosecute actual crime.

Wait till they start putting the thousands of electric vehicle charging stations all over. They usually use number 6 awg (American Wire Guage) which is rated at 55 amps. Your house wiring is number 12 or 14 awg. The higher the number, the smaller the diameter of the wire and carries less amps. Commercial installations can run from a few thousand to over a hundred thousand depending on the number of chargers.
This will be a tasty treat for the bums, more copper to sell to the scrap yard. I remember them burning house/building wiring in 55 gallon drums to remove the insulation as the scrap yards won’t take it with the insulation on. I remember one call where they were trying to melt some copper downspouts in a barrel. The homeless/bums will spend days doing this crap but they don’t want to get a job.
This is really f’d up. God do we need Trump to win.
America
Red stop signs eh? Stellar reporting. We all know those damn traffic lights have been facilitating crime for years. It's about time they were stopped.
The fundamental job of government is law and order. Keeping society safe! Without that we will be a lawless society.
Ecologically sound also.
The STOP sign, a vehicular traffic control device, theoretically, achieves essentially same result as a traffic signal.
Theoretically.
However, it's effectiveness is limited by the operators of said vehicles, more than a traffic signal's, as the presence of other vehicles' being stopped at tbe traffic light intersection is a clue as to what is expected of all vehicles there at that time.
A STOP sign provides this effectiveness only when there are many other vehicles preceeeding the clueless operated one at said intersection at said time.
It's Oakland.
9th district crybaby desk dolly here I hope the city doesn’t do this I’ll have more reports to do or I’ll just go on the Medical AGAIN and leave it all to everyone else I’m useless POS it’s hard bro
Gary, Indiana has its own Youtube genre of urban decline/poverty porn. When a traffic light stops working, it is disconnected, left as-is, and replaced with stop signs. Local LEO advises any intentional gawkers or unintentionally lost rando's to drive through intersections without stopping.
This state is screwed.
Illinois legislators are working to change the term "offender" to "justice impacted individual" in state law, a move Republicans say disrespects victims of violent crime.

Waiting for someone to get zapped but good and then file a lawsuit claiming the city bee’s negligent
It sounds like Ridge Road in Gary. There are multiple intersections west of I-65 where the stop lights have not functioned for years and have been partially removed. Now, those intersections have stop signs. Both towns have been consumed by the doom loop.
Maybe they will start taking the wires out of the speed cameras around here.
I have an idea, put theses people in non-populated areas away from the cities. Sacrifice the wooded areas and make it a designated campout spot. They are only there to show that they can be.
I don't think there was a single ounce of copper left in the old Post Office building in 001 by the time they started renovations.
Just make the lights turn from red to green faster or better yet have them work backwards. Go from red to green instead of going from green to red.
One way to stop crime is to kill the criminals. Ever think of that? They are worthless to society and in the ebonics case crime is genetic. It's a shame to keep them alive and have to pay for it.
When you ain't got nothin' you got nothin' to lose. But when you have a 59 Corvette, don't be dumb enough to go into Oakland....
Nowdays both stop lights and stop signs seem to be a mere suggestion around here. Either on purpose or a because of a distraction like the guy I witnessed this morning staring at his cell phone.
Time to Sue God, & ANYONE who had anything to do with creating the periodic table. If God didn’t make copper so costly there would be no theft!!! It’s not the drunk who kills a family in a car accident it’s Budweisers fault! It’s not my fault I gambled away the house payment it was Harrahs!! (Or Ballys) if shitcago feels better. How about some personal responsibility????? It is my fault I drank too much, it is my fault that I gambled away all my money. But see pointing this out is……… wait for it…………
RACISM RACISM RACISM!!!!! have Dart’s deputies serve God W/ the court papers & make him pay for making copper cost toooo much!

South Africa’s Illegal Copper Trade Dismantles Critical Infrastructure at All Levels
"Every day in South Africa, petty thieves and transnational organized crime groups siphon off the country’s copper supplies from pennies to millions of dollars at a time. The result is billions in losses every year and a dismantling of critical infrastructure that shakes the public’s quality of life to its core."

Wilderness, woods, fields - any peaceful, quiet, empty areas - are inherently racist. It has been declared thus, and something must be done about it.
"They are only there to show that they can be."
Precisely. It's called "taking up space," and the idea is to destroy the "privilege" of not having to deal with gimme-cigarette bums, bottle-smashers, shoplifters, illegal aliens demanding money, and crazy men directing traffic on major streets with their pants down every second of your day.
Groups shouting "LOOK AT US! LOOK AT US!" - as though I should stop there and miss an important appointment.
My time is my own. If you seek "validation," recognition, get it by doing something of value.
