A growing portion of Americans are reporting daily and near-daily marijuana use, in numbers now higher than the share of daily and near-daily alcohol drinkers, according to a new analysis.
About 17.7 million people in 2022 recorded daily or nearly daily use of marijuana, compared to the 14.7 million who reported the same habits for alcohol, marking the first time in the past 30 years that daily marijuana use exceeded alcohol use, according to an analysis published Wednesday that looks at data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
“A good 40% of current cannabis users are using it daily or near daily, a pattern that is more associated with tobacco use than typical alcohol use,” the study’s author, Jonathan Caulkins, a cannabis policy researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, told The Associated Press.
All those weed taxes....have they paid for a single thing yet?
We remember some study, years ago, that said weed smokers eventually made themselves sterile. We've been hoping that was true for almost three decades now.

Cutting the pay to 1/2 what it was or less what kind of quality do you think you’re gonna get? But however, these are the same type of security guards that Brandon needs to hire. I have to ask: where were you drinking the beer that you chose to dispose of the can in a park? You drank a beer at home and then went to the park to get rid of the can? Something isn't quite adding up. You're going to say you found the can and you were helping pick up litter now, right? The beer can was in your car from that time when you were drinking in your driveway? Let's hear it.

AA is only successful 10% of the time. Are some of you actually claiming that pot causes more issues than booze? Potheads, if it is just pot, are fairly docile. I’ve never seen one hitting his wife and kids, I’ve never seen one try to fight the Bouncers. I’ve never seen one with a hangover. I’ve never had to talk down a jealous pothead. I’ve never talked to one that had no recollection of their activities the night before. In my experience, they tend to stay home and play video games. I know several self made millionaires that smoke a joint after work and go to bed early. I have several family members that run very successful businesses and have been smoking daily since they were teens. It all depends on the person. That rule doesn’t apply in the Chicago ghetto, those people ruin everything.

Relax Mr. Colombo cop. So you prioritize fucking with someone who is drinking a can of beer over violent crime? No wonder why the crime keeps increasing in Chicago year over year. I have a great deal of respect for most police officers. But not for you Mr. Colombo Cop.

The science of this plant has been so thoroughly understood by now that all of it's useful to humans qualities are well known, with this specific use being only one of them.

And I wasn't there 44 years ago when this crybaby was "fucked with" for admittedly breaking the law, but I can guarantee you the officer in question didn't ignore some violent crime that was occurring in order to bust the underage drinker. You think there was a murder happening in the park, but the officer decided to ignore it and grab the kid with the beer can? Are you that out of touch with reality? You think crime is out of control because police are enforcing laws? You respect most police officers, but blame them for crime being out of control? You're incapable of realizing how dumb you sound.
