More than a month after Mayor Brandon Johnson faced questions over why his campaign fund spent more than $30,000 on personal grooming, records show he’s continuing to pay a South Side makeup artist out of his political committee.
In a disclosure report filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections on Friday, Friends of Brandon Johnson reported making 11 payments totaling $8,200 to Makeup Majic in April, May and June.
That brings the total amount paid by Johnson’s campaign to the business — based in a South Side home and run by makeup artist and self-described “skincare enthusiast” Denise Milloy — to more than $36,000 in 2023 and 2024, records show.
No deep introspection on the constant drumbeat from their editorial "staff" about Trump being a fascist, racist, homophobe, enslaver of minority persons, etc. Nope, they got Conehead spending campaign funds on getting his hair did.
How about a story on how big of a carbon footprint this waste of paper and ink might be? that would keep the greenies happy.

The interesting part of this story is the part which the media is ignoring. Ms. Denise Milloy is not a licensed cosmetologist, in fact she has been cited and disciplined twice by the Illinois Department of Professional & Financial Regulation for operating as such without a license.
So here we have the Mayor patronizing a person who is not licensed to conduct the business which his campaign is paying her for, and so how is she reporting these earnings to the IRS.
Could the story before us actually be one of money laundering as opposed to the mayor’s “personal hygiene” as the campaign spokesperson calls it.
There is a much bigger story here than just the mayors vanity!

I thought so too, but her Insta profile says Denise Carter Milloy and a further search says she’s 64 (gotta admit she looks good for the age). So he either boned her in his 20s or he’s getting campaign funds kicked back to him. I mean what kinda “man” spends close to 40k in two years on glam? Oh, sorry, I forgot we were talking about a Democrat man. Also, how the heck does a mayor getaway with using someone who is unlicensed and not get slapped for that. Every single cosmetologist or beautician with a city business license should be phoning in IG complaints now.

Sun Times didn’t print a paper edition of the paper today July 16. Said it was a power outage. Sun Times is done, too small, too expensive and too liberal. Wouldn’t be surprised if it went to digital editions only
