The head of the Secret Service actually made this excuse for not having the obvious sniper nest covered at the Trump rally:
- Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle, on why they weren't stationed on the roof where the assassin fired from: "That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there's a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn't want to put somebody up on a sloped roof."
Evidently completely forgetting that this picture (and thousands of others) exist:
Not a real level surface where the counter-snipers were stationed, eh? And let's not forget - these people are trained to place their actual bodies in the line of fire for certain members of government. We don't see a sloped roof that barely breaks the horizontal plane (4/12 at best?) as a comparable great danger.
And it turns out that there were at least three officers/snipers INSIDE the building that the assassin was climbing on. Additionally, he bought and carried a ladder to the building along with a rifle, and some reports have them taking his photograph as he used a rangefinder from the roof to the podium before firing.
The more this drags out, the more everyone involved should be subpoenaed, questioned, tried and imprisoned for gross negligence if nothing else.

If back in the day I told Sgt. Butch Becker or Pat Golz that I was afraid of a slope, he would have made such an example of my lack of courage, it would be brutal.
The director is an idiot, pushing 30% female.

I can't image that political hack capable of climbing a roof or climbing anything other than up a Senator's leg.
Few things to point out..
I have seen articles thalt say the shooter went to a Home Depot to purchase 5ft ladder (there should be surveilance video of this transaction, no?). A 5ft ladder is not tall enough to gain access to a roof. Count the rungs! This photo here shows 9 rungs, but assume 1 rung is obstructed (meaning a 10ft ladder).

I have used 10 ft ladders of that style countless times in my line of work. They are cumbersome to carry and even 10ft fiberglass ladders aren't exactly light weight (a typical 300lb load capacity weighs about 40lbs). It requires 2 hands to carry this even for a short distance. An overtop photo of his deceased body and the gun doesn't show the weapon had a carrying strap. I am pointing out that the shooter must have made at least 2 trips back and forth from his vehicle, 1 for the ladder, 1 for the weapon. I can't see it feasible to carry both in one trip...
It's reported he drove to the rally in a car (model/make not reported) and parked nearby. Just how exactly did he transport this ladder? Here's a photo for some context even though I can guess he wasn't driving a VW Golf.

You expect them to put themselves in danger on a sloped roof in order to keep their protectees safe? What kind of animal are you? It's not like they signed up for a job where the literal job description is to put themselves in danger to keep their protectees safe. If only there was some way to keep an eye on that roof without actually going on the dangerous roof that the pasty weakling shooter was able to navigate safely. Someone or many someones dropped the ball or many balls in this incident. Making stupid excuses won't help anything. I guess they feel like they can't just admit their security plan was insufficient or poorly executed. It will be interesting to see how much truth eventually comes out about who fucked up and how badly.
Congress needs to get all of the radio transmissions from the Secret Service’s Fusion Center for this detail which should include all Feds, State Police, Local Police and anyone else assigned to this detail before they are tampered with. They need a court order and they need to act fast.

The convention has been kind of a shit show as entry and exits go. The SS runs the entry control points. I have it on good authority the Biden has specifically asked the Director of the SS (if that's the proper title for the DEI trash) not to go out of the way to make anything convenient for any attendees. BTW had a few conversations with some CPD officers there. They were all very courteous, professional, and attentive to the surroundings. Those officers are doing a fine job. Overall, all the LE Officers were an outstanding bunch.

The on site supervisor should have been held accountable. It’s his or her’s responsibility to have that roof covered. The head of the SS knows this and should have stated such. Instead she’s making bs excuses now they both have to go.
Watch the video when they get Trump to his vehicle. There’s a female SS agent who tries at least 3 times to holster her weapon with negative results.

I stand corrected on this. Reports indicate that the ladder wasn't there long before the assassination attempt. Either way, if the rooftop was within range of USSS shooters, it was within range of Mr. Trump (as proven).
If it's got too much slope, put someone outside, on the ground, patrolling the building perimeter.
Stop worrying about the optics and start putting the most qualified ones in charge.
The amusing part is that pols worldwide are calling for a reduction in rhetoric now that they're the targets of "gun violence"!

Two things noted on another site:
CNN was live broadcasting the rally. CNN never live broadcasts Rs unless something bad is about to happen. See, for example, how they had a camera crew set up outside Roger Stones' house for his 6 AM FBI raid.
Second, Trump was not the R nominee for President yet, and had not named a Vice President candidate. Had Trump been murdered, the RNC could then name a slate of RINOs to lose gracefully, and join in the plundering of our country, without the input from any of those NAGA types.
Many more unexplained oddities have been noted and discussed, but I hadn't seen this before, and the people here are probably the expert voices in the room. Thanks.

The Secret Service is another miserable failure in a line of failures by federal agencies under Joe Biden. Under Biden, he and his administration demonstrated on day one (Afghanistan) how inept and incompetent and outright dangerous these people are. SS now joins the ranks of other incompetent Fed Military/LE/Security leadership, similar to the FBI, DOJ, Pentagon and Homeland Security.
Failure is the Hall Mark of Joe Biden, his administration and the Democratic Party. Our enemies must be stunned and amazed at Biden catastrophic political, economic, financial and national security failures.

From what we’ve garnered from the high level meetings of all of our Federal Assets and our CPD Command, the Feds do not want to stake their reputations and careers on depending on this current and blatantly incompetent CPD command structure. They have made a point of documenting and voicing their concerns of manpower, training and experience on a woeful department. On the horrific attacks on Oct 7th in Israel the same assholes who reaped havoc on an armed and more prepared Israeli citizenry could bring untold horror on not just our neighborhoods but the Super Bowl of Assholes at DNC. Somehow 2 of my old members of my unit have been trapped as POW’S at Call Back for over 4 years. Needless to say our other members of our unit and our multitude of friends have begun the process of ensuring that the scourge of exhaustion from years of days off cancelled, weddings and family gatherings cancelled and severe marital strain and the cumulative effects of PTSD and the spiral of hopelessness that we are subjected to had taken its toll. We have been threatened to lose our, “spots.” I sure hope we have the ability to cover those coveted 12-ish spots that might need a spiritual sabbatical from the evil. Anyone experiencing the numbness and despair of PTSD please, please seek help and don’t fall down the police trap of an Anti-Police, Anti-American and most of all trap laid by the Globalist Democrat/Marxist Party to trigger widespread race riots.
After this evening, upon the conclusion of Trump acceptance speech, the national and global attention turns to Murder City. The Democratic Party will begin to routinely soil their shorts as the realization that the DNC Circus is really coming to town.
No worries as Snelling, Conehead, Tony, Kimmy and two-ton Prickster are confident that all convention goers, tourists, illegal aliens, and demonstrators will be on their best behavior.
