- The Flossmoor Police Department released 19 documents related to its investigation of the alleged assault and battery of Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx in June.

The reading is extensive and pretty thorough, and it shows two people acting like assholes to one another. It also shows the two standards of "justice" applied when one "victim" is an elected official. We can't get two ASA's to show up to an Officer Battery incident for a slam-dunk by-the-book felony charge, but Crimesha can.
See if you can spot the racial profiling by the witness.

I've only read the original incident report so far, but the "witness" saw that it was a Big Gulp cup from "outside her home," when the cup never left the vehicle? That's awfully specific for someone who was likely on her porch with no view into the vehicle. It's almost(definitely) like she was coached into saying whatever Crimesha needed her to say. Something else that stands out, is the SIDEWALK mentioned several times. Crimesha moved onto the SIDEWALK after he reversed his truck toward her, because she felt unsafe. Well gee, maybe if you were on the sidewalk in the first place, none of this would've happened. If you want to feel safe, walk on the sidewalk instead of the street. Her choice to walk in the street caused the whole incident, and also put her in violation of the law. She should be charged as well, since we're bringing ridiculous charges against people.

How nice of those two ASAs to just show up to the station to pursue felony charges when no one called them. I'm sure that happens all the time, and in no way indicated special treatment of the connected "victim" in this case. I've personally waited over an hour for felony review to even call back on a case involving actual felonies, on numerous occasions, with several requiring me to call back several times to make sure they got my info or a fax, before anyone would even think of coming to the station to investigate. But this case gets two unrequested ASAs to just pop in and recommend some felony charges? Interesting.

Jesus. After reading through that whole thing, first off, I can’t be the only one who said out loud, “Get to the fucking point.” Some of the most ridiculous, over dramatic, pointless bullshit and repeating of information I’ve ever seen in a police report. I feel terrible for agencies that have to write like this. Secondly, hilarious how two ASA’s just so happen to show up at the station to review everything without being called. When has that EVER happened in the history of this county? Then to top it off, they leave to call someone as the report refers to them as the person who sent them, but it’s not specified who…. It’s not FR since they weren’t called in the first place. Magically the charges are instantly approved for Agg. Batt on the public way, something that NEVER gets approved, especially in a he said / she said case and Agg. Assault. Something that I’ve personally gotten into arguments with FR over because they “cant prove the person intended on hitting them with the vehicle.” It’s clear Foxx used her position to get the ASA’s there and pushed for the approval. Fact is, the department should’ve completed their investigation, canvas and whatever else before calling FR and THEN getting ASA’s involved. The fact they just so happened to show up is absolutely bullshit.
