This softball was an incompetent spokesweasel for CPD years ago, and fled the city for federal employment. He hitched his wagon to the Secret Service and still hasn't lost his penchant for obeying his masters and spinning to the press:
- In the wake of Saturday's failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, the US Secret Service is still unable to explain how the incident happened, but it is devoting a lot of effort to defending the Secret Service agents who appeared to be flummoxed and a lot less than competent as former President Trump was evacuated to the hospital.
Anthony Guglielmi, the Secret Service’s chief of communication, said in the statement: “We stand united against any attempt to discredit our personnel and their invaluable contributions to our mission and are appalled by the disparaging and disgusting comments against any of our personnel.”
“As an elite law enforcement agency, all of our agents and officers are highly trained and fully capable of performing our missions,” he said.
“It is an insult to the women of our agency to imply that they are unqualified based on gender. Such baseless assertions undermine the professionalism, dedication and expertise of our workforce,” he added.
No one is implying the women "agents" were unqualified - it ius a straight up observationof their behavior and response that they weren't qualified to be doing what they were assigned to be doing.
The Secret Service used to be very near the top. Their snipers still seem competent as far as shooting, but they're farming out the rest of the work. It wasn't the A-Team protecting Trump the other day. It wasn't even the B-Team or C-Team. It was DHS agents, brought in for whatever reason.
They failed to secure an obvious elevated sniper position. Upon discovering and photographing an attendee using a range finder around the grounds, they failed to confront and interrogate the subject. Upon learning he had a rifle while outside of the secure area, they still let the speaker take the stage. And reporters have discovered the assassin had drone surveillance up hours before the speech while the Secret Service had none.
As we said last week, if your organization can't accept legitimate criticism after a fuck-up, you aren't a professional organization, you're a political employment agency. And the fact that they employ Google-me merely verifies this.

When people talk about karma, I think of people like Google-me. No matter how incompetence and ignorant he is, he rolls on and gets another great gig. The female agents weren't deemed unqualified because of their gender. They were deemed unqualified by their actions: that is, unable to holster her weapon under duress and looking scared out out of her pants. And the people making these claims are people who have to handle their weapons under duress on a weekly if not daily basis. And we can tell the difference between a rookie and an experienced, professional, officer in the blink of an eye, as can the professional criminals.
But then again, that press release was not written for, or directed towards, the hundreds of thousands of officers who make those claims. That press release was directed to the hundreds of thousands and millions of untrained civilians that have heard that Biden put in the freshmen team instead of the professional, varsity team to guard and protect a former president now challenging Biden for Biden's job.
Who was Gugliemi's other half and where did he go?
Hopefully, Anthony Guglielmi will have to testify to the US House Oversight Committee with the Secret Service Director this Monday to back up his statement!

This isn't first time other agencies have supplemented USSS. When Jesse Jackson ran for POTUS in 84 and 88 I knew DEA and ATF agents who supplemented his security detail.
Five foot tall person cannot shield an over 6 foot person from possible sniper. There no gender attack just physics. But if those darlings were DHS STFU you useless tool. Might want to retrain that highly trained agent to not duck when hearing shots and gun to holster technique. Also put her on a diet.

Everything about this assassination attempt points to it being a planned operation with a patsy like Oswald figure. The fact is that the government and its agencies are wholly corrupt. The reality, upon deeper reflection, is that it always has been.
First off, most of the female agents (except positively for the one on the stage) were not USSS. They were HSI. Look at the badges on their belts in the photos. USSS has 5-point stars. The agent on the stage was formerly assigned to Don Jr when they were in office.
The problem is typical in that 2 agencies, with different standards and training, were trying to work together. And that is usually OK, as long as the shit doesn't hit the fan. Here, the shit hit the fan.
Trust in National Law Enforcement and Security organizations has evaporated primarily as a result of piss poor leadership within these agencies. In most cases since their inception, with the exception of occasional scandals and other foibles, they have largely conducted themselves in a professional and effective manner. However, once Barry Soetoro became president and named Eric Holder his Attorney General, things have been on a downward spiral in these agencies either by omission, commission or long-term design. This is particularly true in terms of trust, honesty, integrity, effectiveness and successful coverups. It continues under the feeble-minded Joe Biden and his malevolent AG, Merrick Garland.
What is desperately needed is a new, honest and effective effort to clean up the current group of vermin leadership in these agencies. It will take years for them to regain the public trust. Perhaps the tragic events of last week in Pennsylvania will be the catalysts of change and trust building.

They’ve used other agencies during the presidential campaigns for decades. Pre 9-11 it was other Treasury agencies. But the planning is all done by USSS agents and the detail, which is the people in close with the protectee are all Secret Service. I just retired after 27 years in federal law enforcement and the quality of hiring across all the agencies has declined greatly.
In green beret and SEAL world, PSD is for the guys nobody wants. It is more of a punishment.

Being a curmudgeon I remember when US Customs Agents were used to backup the US Secret Service in support roles. That is probably what the DHS Agents were doing. Seems to me that there was a lack of planning and that the communications, command and control structure was not up to par.

When called to be questioned by the congressional committees, they have the standard replies: "I don't have that answer at this time", "I can't comment on that at this time". When she was asked if any of the people in charge of this fiasco were going to be fired, she said she would not. She was told by both Dems and Repubs to resign and said she would not.
Has there been anyone fired during this administration??? NO! People have left, but no one has ever been held accountable even when they were impeached (Mayorkas). One Dem congressman said that the Director (Republican) of the S.S. when Reagan was shot, "did the right thing and resigned. You should do the same". Your kidding right ? Tell me your kidding ? They weren't even tall enough to use their heads to put your beer on. Yes they showed bravery, even when running around like poodles with their ass's on fire. It must be said one must be brave to put your body in the line of rifle fire, to take a bullet for your protectee. I salute their bravery.
