He is currently out of the country on his honeymoon and will not make any statements until November. This is after Carlos's sister was appointed to a $150k/yr job to be the "Chief Philanthropy Officer" which she was unqualified for and was pushed out. His policy director confirmed this to a constituent

Democracy died when Aldercreature Carlos Ramirez Rosa (D), a self described Democrat Socialist, disrespected, manhandled and then bullied a alderperson Women of Color (W.O.C.) the Honorable Emma Mitts (D), to block a quorum for a vote to rescind Chicago's sanctuary status. This fool was an aide to Congressman Gutierrez (D-ILL) working hard as a community organizer registering illegal migrant voters to get out the vote while on the payroll of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee rights.
A typical Marxist- Socialist tactic was employed by Ramirez-Rosa (D) of blocking entry, then manhandling and denying participation in the legislative body to deny democracy a chance to get voted upon by the duly elected representatives of the people. As a member of the democrat party which is the party for women, Ald. Ramirez-Rosa exemplifies a true democrat hypocrite by blocking an elected African American's women a right to cast her ballot and denying her a voice. Democrat Marxist Socialist Jamaal Bowman (D) plotted and schemed when he pulled the fire alarm in Congress before a vote for funding that would prevent that nefarious government shutdown. Democrats in action. One bullies a women of color in denying her her right to vote in violation of her civil rights and the another democrat causes panic and alarm causing an actual Jan 6th like criminal Obstruction of Congress in the nation's legislative body when activating a fire alarm evacuating the people's elected body of duly elected representation.
Both criminal actions would be grounds for disqualification from public office in an orderly, just society. But both are democrats so they get a pass. Both suffered minor inconveniences for their behaviors and remarkedly both are taxpayer funded representatives to this day fighting for the people's democracy and the right to vote regardless of immigration status.
This Ramirez-Rosa character is a self described Democrat Socialist having worked as Communist Bernie Sanders campaign chair in Illinois when Sander was running as supreme soviet for President of the United States.
Ramirez Rosa hates big corporations and has commented profusely against corporate salaries. The City of Chicago is a corporation and it seems his mother and sister are getting those "corporate" unjust salaries. The monies could be best used to have a more diverse, a more ethic, more inclusive school breakfast and lunch program catering to our new immigrants who are in the U.S. through no fault of their own. After all, Ald. Rosa an advocate of illegals seems to value migrants more than American children. Ald Rosa is unavailable since he is on a honeymoon after tying the knot with his domestic partner Bryan. Best of luck to you and your partner Bryan consummating your marriage.

She didn't make the final cut. However, this temporary board will stay till January. Then, if they live in the city, and at least on different sides of their respective voting districts, they stay. Johnson still gets to appoint 10 people in total, plus the board president.
