Why?

We know Deputy Chiefs don't go to court much. But how does a Deputy Chief get promoted to running Area Two while being on the Giglio list, banning her from testifying in court - any court at all, even Civil Court where a Deputy Chief might be called in any of a half-a-dozen scenarios we can think of without breaking a sweat.

And why do we have something like twenty-plus Deputy Chiefs? When we came on the job, there were six total.

You can thank Phil Cline for starting that trend of creating more exempt rank positions for his kiss ass pals whom Phil knew he could control.

20 plus draining the pensions. That’s one of many places change needs to happen. There and oh, places like not giving a guy who only taught 4 years a CTU pension and oh, yeah, actually having teachers pay their actual percentage into their pension.

“And why do we have something like twenty-plus Deputy Chiefs?”

Easy answer, because Eddie Johnson, Eric Carter, and Fred Waller made a bunch of do nothing, useless exempt positions for their friends… it’s like a cult with-in the department. Why do you think Snelling went from Sergeant to Superintendent in under 6 years, or how Yolanda Tolley went from Sergeant to Chief in five years, or even how Michael Tate (006 Commander) was a PO five years a go. They are all interconnected. That’s why the anonymous complaint about Tate to the Superintendent wont make a difference.
Also, everyone should know that Fred Waller is still calling the shots in the department with his “Deputy Director” position.

You're asking why we have so many deputy chiefs? How about chiefs and other unnecessary spots? It's all friends and family getting set for retirement. That check will be a fat one while our pension fund will drain much faster than it should. Why the fuck does a unit such as the academy need a chief? To run what? A lieutenant should be the highest spot there. I could go on and on and on with other "units". No other department in this country has that kind of shit going on. More chiefs than Indians, and most of those chiefs are complete strokes whose IQs are lower than room temperature.

Our bosses are across the board useless but the Giglio list is complete bullshit. Activist pro shithead judges enjoy destroying the credibility of officers and the CCSAO is more than happy to oblige. All it takes is one dickhead political hack judge to say you're not credible and your career is over. You have no recourse.

Later, I moved near Chicago. :-(
