More Scumbags

That crap bill in Springfield that will let anyone claiming "mental illness" to freely attack and beat Police Officers with no fear of actually being charged with a crime picked up a couple co-sponsors:

Both Chicago reps, both anti-police, anti-law-and-order types....you know - democrats.

Forget all that NAMI garbage they try to indoctrinate us with. All violent mentals should be locked up in prisons or mental institutions. They are ticking time bombs that currently walk freely among us.

This bill amends the Criminal Code of 2012 by adding a new legal defense for aggravated battery involving peace officers. Specifically, it provides a defense when a peace officer is battered during an incident involving an individual with a documented mental illness who was acting abruptly, and whom a reasonable officer could believe was experiencing a mental health episode. The defense recognizes that interactions with individuals experiencing mental health challenges can be unpredictable and potentially escalate, and offers legal protection for peace officers who might use force in response to such situations. By inserting this new subsection (d-1) into the existing law on aggravated battery, the bill aims to provide nuanced consideration of mental health contexts in law enforcement encounters, acknowledging the complexity of interactions with individuals experiencing mental health episodes and potentially offering some legal protection for officers who must make split-second decisions in challenging

It should be noted that Lisa Davis, a sponsor of this bill, is married to a gentleman who works for the Chicago Fire Department.

So, if I get a doctor to sign off on a mental condition, I can just go out and knockout cops without getting charged?

A statewide Blue Flue would be most appropriate. In the interest of making a point though every union or department should provide a count of EVERY police officer that would resign on the day that bill is passed. If these pieces of shit want the National Guard to stop the burning and looting with AR 15s give them what they want and deserve. Every department that doesn't make a move to stop this deserves to lose half of their personnel. FUCK THEM AND FUCK THEM ALL.

Then CPD should not respond to those calls. Let Johnson’s mental teams do it and have him hire more. Or the paramedics

I don't know what you're reading but the only change in the Aggravated Battery statute is the "affirmative" defense that if the police officer [merely holding this status] "could believe" [very low bar] the person the police officer is interacting with has a "documented mental illness" [not defined] and acted abruptly [doesn't indicate who so acted]. You obviously have other interests other than Peace Officers. By the way, Peace Officer include Federal personnel [720 ILCS 5/2-13].

Dial 10-1-1 for mental health calls seems to be a possible answer.
No CPD/No CFD assigned until requested by the mental health pros.
It would free up 9-1-1 a bit. The call taker can flip the call directly to the shrinks.

If it passes, and with this GA God knows it certainly could, on every call you respond to, the first question out of your mouth is "Are you experiencing a mental issue?" If they answer "yes", you fall back and call for EMS and CIT. Monitor from a distance and let them handle it. Easy peasey. No action unless there is an imminent threat to life or limb. Stay Fetal.
