And the dumbass move by Texas Brownie putting the arresting officers in desk duty with no evidence of wrongdoing....aside from catching a family member of the head of IAD family.
A number of commentators are pointing out Yoyo's ties to the Ervin crime family - Melissa's scandal-plagued reign over at the City Treasurers Office and Aldercreature Jason's litany of disasters including the stripper-in-the-office incident and the crackhouse he owned in the suburbs.
If the dope in Yoyo's car had been cocaine, we would have wondered if her niece was headed to or from Maywood.

First Deputy Superintendent Talley and Anjanette Young went to school together. They both know convicted felon Ken Miles, who served two years for the drugs in First Deputy Talley’s personal vehicle. Ken Miles was arrested and a Cook County Judge found him guilty. Ken Miles was arrested again a few months after the drug incident, but was released without charges.

over in Maywood that we hit a few times when I was in Vice. Earlier today, a commenter that attends city council meetings suggested that Tally (must be) and the Ervins are big campaign contributors to Conehead ,Congressman Danny Davis, Alderman Emma Mitts, Alderman Monique Scott, Alderman William Burnett Jr, etc. Someone on social media suggested that the Ervins agree with/to everything Conehead puts on the city council floor. Someone suggested that the Ervins gets things passed at the city council for Conehead. More rumors has it that based on the colors (blue/yellow) it appears that Female Ervin is in the same sorority as DEI Benn and DEI Ward. If you know anything about Chicago politics you’d know that Male Ervin is the head of the Black Caucus which encompasses Black politicians and church leaders, mostly from the westside. The Black Caucus stood behind the female on the that was allegedly drugged when she ran over an officer with his own patrol vehicle on the westside. Bloggers found out that the female has ties to Conehead and Prickwrinkle. This is why Trump is pushing to get rid of the DEI garbage.

Her decision to give her niece her Lexus, have a male with heroin driving in the vehicle, then basically threaten officers with her aunt’s title should automatically disqualify her. Chief Snelling, you have let the force and the City of Chicago down. I never thought you would play politics in your position but obviously was wrong.

Under the proposed law, police must knock, announce themselves and allow a person at least 30 seconds to answer the door when executing a warrant at a residence. Police would also be required to execute residential warrants between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., Other new requirements would including having paramedics close to respond to medical issues, prohibiting police from pointing guns at minors and a ban on handcuffing parents or guardians in front of children unless they are an “immediate threat.”

FBI does not honor FOIA and if they do their agent's names are redacted so good luck attempting to identify any agent. But assisting CPD officer's name aren't redacted even on FBI FOIA reports. This alone would necessitate a log number for the everyday patrol division warrior, but when you factor in narcotics contained in this vehicle with a known relative at the wheel, this is a full blown investigation. Many officers have been sent to purgatory or the alternate response unit for less serious transgressions and stripped pending the outcome of the investigation. Seems like a double standard. I don't wish anyone bad but its about time to level the playing field.

Yes. Everyone is fooled into thinking the officers were placed on desk duty but that's far from the truth. A phone call unit curbed a high ranking CPD official's niece while she was transporting narcotics. Shortly after, phone call unit receives a call and told not to impound (muh whip). Phone call unit covers up the traffic stop felonies. In turn phone call unit is hidden inside for few months. Everyone believes phone call unit is "punished" but in reality they're working 2 days a week awaiting their promotion. CPD at it's best. Don't ask how I know.

He introduces himself and tells my young female partner how she's doing such a great job as a police officer, how she'll be promoted etc etc. All the fluff ................

Why the Chicago Police Department is Declining
CPD name new first deputy superintendent was the headline in the Tribune. Her name is Yolanda Talley. If this name sounds familiar, it’s because she was in the news a few months ago. She was the head of the Internal Affairs of the CPD. While in that position, which investigates police wrongdoing, her niece was stopped by Chicago police conducting a narcotics operation. The niece was driving Talley’s car. (There are questions about whether the vehicle was a squad car or her personal vehicle) The passenger threw a baggy of heroin out the window and was arrested. The niece stated to the police officers “You probably work for my aunt”, and was not arrested as is protocol because she was in control of the vehicle containing narcotics. It’s also the department rule that the vehicle be confiscated and towed; this never happened.
Talley is now in charge of 9,000 Chicago Police Officers. This is the leadership that controls the protection of Chicago’s citizens. It’s an embarrassment.

David Clown stated that the officers needed more training during a press conference and later realized it didn’t make sense. The officers were placed on desk duty as part of being stripped. Lori Lightfoot came to Talley’s aid because Talley used to tell her everything that the other exempts were doing. Lori Lightfoot and Aldermen called for Talley regularly for information on others. Former Chief Cato and Lori Lightfoot are neighbors. Cato was Talley Lori Lightfoot’s horse in the race during the search for the new Superintendent. Cato retired after interfering in the drug bust, so they settled for the current Supe.

I thought it was unusual that they would announce changes on a Monday when it is always done on a Friday evening. While working at 35th St. I overheard that it was intentionally done on a Monday (St. Patrick’s Day) to make a point that the Irish don’t run shit anymore. The fact that the Mayor had made his mind up months ago that Talley was going to get it and that none of the 1st Deputy contenders ever had a chance from the beginning should be looked into. This was strategically planned and executed on St. Patrick’s day and was indeed racially motivated because no one but a black was going to be the 1st under the Mayor’s watch.
They didn't do their jobs. They didn't tow the car, they didn't issue Talley a citation for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate her car, and they didn't get a CR on her. They violated policies. This is what you get when you do a job half-ass trying to protect the connected.

I believe detective, Sgt and lieutenant merit promotions are part of the contract.
Can we for once pick the best, most experienced instead of the most DEI. Look at her work history and complimentary history, it's nonexistent. She literally did nothing, all her units and promotions were affirmatively actioned. Pick anyone else, pick a fucking sergeant who has worked the street their entire career, no merit no affirmative action. I think that would go over so much better that this useless ghetto POS.
yes, they passed part 1 where the passing score is set to 40-50% so that DEI candidates can be nominated for merit after bombing part 2. STFU
And to think that everyone is giving Snelling a pass talking about “it wasn’t his decision” to make her the First. He sat in the meet. He knew that it was in the making. He jokes about her stripping and dumping members.
I agree with you, but the problem is that the passing score isn’t known. Can anyone tell you how well you have to do to pass part 1? The department plays with the scores…eliminates some questions in order to get the right mix to move on to part 2 where one is eligible for merit promotion
