PPP Justice?

And it only took us how many years to find out about it?

  • An Illinois mental health worker claimed she was an author who had made $115,000 selling books in 2020 before her side business cratered during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A state correctional sergeant at Stateville prison claimed he ran a private security company on the side that brought in $100,000 in 2019 and also was hit hard by the pandemic the next year.

Now, both have been forced to resign, among 41 state employees listed in reports by the Illinois Office of Executive Inspector General as having defrauded the federal Paycheck Protection Program designed to bail out ailing businesses during the pandemic.

The reports say those 41 employees are suspected of ripping off the fraud-plagued PPP program for more than $900,000 in loans. Most of the loans in the program were forgivable, meaning they didn’t need to be repaid as long as they went toward approved purposes.

All of the employees have resigned, many of them several years ago, but the reports weren’t made public until this year.

There are plenty more over at OEMC. There are rumored to be more than a few among the exempt ranks.

Haven't they reached retirement age yet?

This scam deserves a proper peer-reviewed study. First to be looked at are the demographics of those who fraudulently took out loans to see if they coincide with their representation in the population.

Wait, it gets better as an aldercreature took out a $40K for a shipping and packaging business nobody ever heard of.

Ald. Angela Clay (46th?) took out a $40K loan for her business she claimed was pulling in $100K per year. The loan was forgiven or paid back.

I am writing this thank you letter to the people at the SCC Blog to show my gratitude and appreciation for making “The Triple P Loan” scandal a topic of today’s experience. Seeing that karma is on the prowl is very rewarding and cathartic. Also, I am going to leave these words for “The Triple P Loan” dispatchers.

“Cause karma is the thunder
Rattling your ground
Karma's on your scent like a bounty hunter
Karma's gonna track you down
Step by step from town to town
Sweet like justice, karma is a queen
Karma takes all my friends to the summit
Karma is the guy on the screen”

Those are Swift’s lyrics. And those words will be forever burned into the dispatchers’ minds. Every time that the dispatchers hear that song they will be reminded of karma. And I am not even paying the dispatchers any rent money for invading and etching their minds.

Signed,

The OG Cop

Brandon should fire ALL of them have them charged criminally and THEN state that cars will be impounded for ALL drug offenses to align the budget.
Chicago’s bond rating would go up 2 notches within 3 months.

Fed. here: the COVID relief programs in general, not just PPP, were rife with fraud. Given that they were designed to push money into the economy rapidly, with minimal oversight (some didn’t even require an applicant to submit and ID), they were a bad idea from the start. Since this is the N. District of Illinois the fraud schemes that did less than a million in losses weren’t prosecuted (you can go see the houses and luxury cars in suburbs like Tinley, Orland, and the Paloses). They perps laughed all the way to the bank or flew off into the sunset back to Jordan.

One has to consider that there has to be some fraud in government, as it has been a long time since these people were exposed.
No matter who they are, these people need to be fired, indicted and if necessary imprisoned.
When the wheels of justice turn this slowly, there is usually someone holding the brakes on...

She blamed the PPP loan her niece who she shares the same and vehicle with. The niece who she had no idea was trafficking heroin in her personal vehicle. That niece that she didn’t know was living with a 6x convicted felony on the westside. The niece that had a suspended driver’s license. Talley was totally oblivious.

what ever happened to daley idiot kid (patrick) n venecko and the 5 million dollars contract they received for their bogus company municipal sewer services
Young Daley and his cousin Robert Vanecko invested in Municipal Sewer Services, a company the City contracted for millions of dollars of work, and they both cashed out with a profit. The Daley Administration keeping it in the family is unsavory if not exactly earth shattering, but this gets even more shady:

The mayor’s son and nephew never publicly disclosed their ownership stake in Municipal Sewer Services, despite a city ordinance that appears to require such disclosure.
The company also appears to have violated the same city ordinance by not identifying the mayor’s son and nephew as investors in the economic-disclosure statements it filed with the city amid the Hired Truck scandal.
