Showing ATF the Door

Looks like we won't be getting a wholesale disbanding of the fbi

But we may be getting something nearly as good:

  • A report from CNN indicates FBI director Kash Patel — who is also ATF acting director — plans to cut “as many as 1,000 ATF agents” and move them to the FBI.

This will represent a cut of roughly one third of the ATF’s current agents.

The thousand "agents" will be tasked with assisting in securing the border. As this isn't something most of them signed up for, we expect a sizeable number of resignations to follow, whereupon they can start picking all the vegetables and produce that the illegal aliens used to harvest.

The atf exists solely to infringe on Second Amendment Rights, sio this is a good thing.

Additionally, something else is good on the horizon:

  • The House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), is planning to hold a legislative markup on March 25, 2025 at 10 am EST. The committee will be considering several bills during this markup, two of which are of crucial importance to law-abiding gun owners. A committee markup is often a critical step in advancing legislation to the floor of the U.S. House for passage.

The first piece of legislation up for consideration, and the NRA’s top priority, is H.R. 38, the “Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act” introduced by Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC). This bipartisan legislation would provide nationwide reciprocity for concealed carry license holders and for residents of Constitutional Carry states. This legislation currently has 177 cosponsors in the U.S. House.

When you drive a car, your license is considered good in all of the United States. The privilege of operating a car doesn't stop when you leave home. So carrying a firearm - an enumerated Right in the Constitution - shouldn't stop at a state border either.

If and when this is properly enshrined in Law, it'll get rid of quite a bit of the crap Fata$$ has been doing to undermine our ability to buy a firearm.

SCC I love you but you’re a moron. So everyone in the city of Chicago should have a firearm?? No, we need state and federal gun laws to make sure that when the 3 time convicted felon has a gun we get it and charge him.. otherwise he and his friends will end up in your neighborhood.. and to all the coppers who think they are navy seals and will win in a gun battle, gonna be hard when three stone cold thugs pop out of a car pointing glocks with extendos and switches at you… you’re not gonna win that fight tacticool warriors. Gun laws are needed. Yep, criminals can get guns on any street corner, but laws are needed to make sure that when we get them with one they shouldn’t have they get charged and put in prison.. I live in this city and am raising my kids here.. not everyone is entitled to have a gun..

SCOTUS decided in Dobbs that it's up to the several states how they want to handle the manner and means of taking life. So Dobbs might turn out to be the very basis for striking down gun reciprocity.

For those who remember Daley's "Failure to register a handgun" municipal ordinance, a charge we were required to add to every gun arrest, does anyone remember the City attorney ever prosecuting anyone for said municipal violation?

They rarely, if ever, prosecuted these charges because they knew then that the charge was unconstitutional. If the charge is dropped, it can never be appealed. It was only used to seize handguns and charge people, folks, and a few otherwise law-abiding citizens.

It's about time.

Who remembers when Wisconsin police would charge anyone, including Illinois officers, who got caught with a handgun up there?

Reciprocity numb nuts. You have to obtain a "license" lawfully and then there is resiprocity. If you carry illegally withot havind a license its still illegal.Hope you are not the police.

Here is a real project for the ATF/FBI. Track down paid professional protestors and follow the money. It seems that "dark money" is used to pay protestors to ratchet up violence. The outside agitators that Daley the 1st spoke of decades ago. He was on to something.

I’m guessing that those law enforcement feds who may lose their jobs or be transferred, will make a lateral transfer to a local police agency. Fill that beat car!

Fact is homicides are down nationwide (and even in Chicago compared with the 90's) with more concealed/open carry.

ATF, like the CPD, has to follow the policies established by the elected politicians. What the ATF should be doing is working with CPD to arrest and prosecute felons with ammo and firearms.

You're the idiot. The criminals are already in every neighborhood. We have enough gun laws on the books. What we need is for judges and attorneys to use those laws and hold criminals accountable. Every law abiding citizen has the right to protect themselves. The issues with violence and crime isn't from law abiding citizens with guns. It's from criminals who aren't held accountable for their actions.

The democrats turn every advocacy agency into a police agency. Atf was supposed to advocate for safe gun usage not be the gestapo. They did it in the 90s to the fat and the coast guard. Ramp checks in the country checking paperwork on old guys flying Cessna on weekends. Went fishing once with the kids right off navy pier. Got stopped and checked by 4-5 agencies within sight of each other. Police state bullshit. Cops everywhere fukking with the little guys while ms13 turns the city upside down.

You could write to, or vote out, your MORONIC elected officials and demand that criminals are prosecuted and, upon conviction, actually sentenced to a MEANINGFUL sentence, instead of screwing with LAWFUL citizens' Rights to defend themselves or to be left alone. SCC is stand-up.
