Anyone from the investigative media going to.....haha....investigate this?
- Off topic but why isn’t this being addressed especially by the media:
Stacey Johnson gets TWO officers paid at Sgt’s rate to drive her and her son to an out of state sport event? Why? Must be nice. Does the city have to pay for their hotel rooms, food and gas too?
We know she has a city office tucked away somewhere with expensive furniture because that was the previous scandal barely mentioned by the media, but as stated in the past, we didn't vote for her nor her purely ceremonious role that seems to cost taxpayers tens of thousands of scarce dollars.
Now we're paying for bodyguards to drive her and the kids out-of-state on non-city related events? Does she think she's Ed Burke, with a driver and city car, headed to an out-of-state golf outing?

Spouses always get part of the security detail.. even if going out of state. Emmanuel’s old lady pulled mayors detail people all over the country even when 9.5 stayed back in the city.. when Daley was in office, his wife was in Michigan city almost all summer. Guys would rotate out to Michigan city every day driving the 45 min back into the city.
The bodyguards are a way for politicians to look important. Use government vehicles, never have to pay for parking, always get close as possible to doorways, always have heat or air conditioning to nice temperatures, gas, insurance, muscle to run errands and always have a clean car.

I doubt the two coppers making 9171 pay, plus OT, to drive this moron around will speak up. But maybe someone heard them bragging about it? Those coppers would be right to play dumb with that lotto ticket
The real question is, how do I get into the mayors detail?? I’ll take unlimited OT to do nothing $$$

Worrying about the mayors TAXI service..ASK yourself why so many EXEMPTS have drivers who all make over 100k a year. You couldnt even do a FOIA request because the driver position is made up. KINDA like a ghost police officer on the sheets but not at the location. AND NO EXEmpts RARELY IF EVER TYPE !!! Most now can barely survive name searches or login into CABOODLE.
I agree. Why they need driver’s is beyond me. When you’re short officers & detectives this is nonsense. Nobody on this department knows what austerity means.
Rahmbo and Lil Larry and families have CPD drivers. Both can afford their own private executive protection / bodyguard, but nope the tax- payers are on the hook for these two thieves !!!!!
