Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters..
A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a ‘Siberian’ climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.
The document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies. The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents.
And exactly none of this came to pass.
But hey, spend more money on "green" boondoggles via higher taxes, and that will solve all the world's problems. That's how all those politicians got rich.

A leaked HHS budget proposal for fiscal year 2026 shows zero dollars allocated to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP, which provides financial assistance to help customers on limited incomes pay their energy bills. The federal government’s fiscal year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30.
In 2023, more than 330,000 households in Illinois received LIHEAP with an average of more than $724 per household, Gov. JB Pritzker’s office said in a November news release.
Oh. Boo hoo. Right now, People's Gas charges all customers to "assist" those who cannot pay their bills. ComEd doesn't charge anyone (yet) but their customers are also eligible for "assistance." How about asking if their customers have (A) a car, (B) a cell phone, (C) a television and (D) a cable or satellite service? Then check if they have LINK, SSI, or any other grant money coming in.
If we had trouble paying a heating bill or anything else, you know what we did? We cut something else. We budgeted properly. We scaled back expenditures....and we looked for an overtime opportunity. If we wanted a new car, we saved. If we wanted a vacation, we made damn sure to plan ahead.
These "scare tactics" by the media to guilt the workers into providing for the leeches is getting old. It's been old for a while now, so it's good to see an Administration pushing back a bit.

There used to be a judge in traffic court decades ago who would give the third degree to anyone who asked for a public defender. He'd ask them do you own a car and if they said yes he'd tell them sell it and pay for an attorney.
Also ask how many times a month they have their nails, eye lashes and hair done. How often they go clothes and shoe shopping each month. How often they eat out and/or go out for drinks. How much they spend monthly on vape, weed, alcohol or other.

Shit, we used to answer calls up on the 14th floor of Cabrini in the middle of winter. It would be 90 degrees in those apartments, windows cracked open, and everyone walking around in their drawers. Even the roaches would be lying on their backs airing out their balls. Meanwhile, we are freezing in the squad car with muddy ice slush soaking our boots on the floor boards, with thermal underwear from neck to ankles.

The Medicaid cost of $30,000 is spot on - that is the cost of an annual family insurance premium. If employed, employees usually pay 25% of the premium and the employer pays the other 75%. So a big family will pay $625/month = ($30k x .25) / 12. For anyone on Medicaid, you pay Nothing!!! Our Mental Governor gave $1 Billion in Medicaid to Illegal Aliens last year. The total IL Budget was $47 Billion so that is a 1/47 ratio just on Medicaid not including food cards, housing (a ton spent on hotels) and all the other free shit. He should be voted out easily - just need the opposition to document this in a commercial. Federal and State tax dollars should ONLY go to US Citizens!

The Earned Income Tax Credit did not exist 20 years ago. Basically, the government is giving “cash refunds” through people’s tax returns above the amount of tax withholdings that they paid in. Years ago, you never received a refund above your withholding on your tax return. Now the government takes other people’s taxes paid in and gives it to other people through their tax return. Isn’t this nuts? Now you know why we are $36.5 Trillion in debt as a nation. Federal and Illinois 1040 returns have this cash pay through mechanism which is worth around $12,000 in cash above what people paid in.

Look at your cell phone bills. I recently switched to Verizon so I went over my new bill with a fine tooth comb and I noticed a fckin $10 per month 911 fee! So a family of four with four lines will be paying $40 per month or $480 per year in 911 fees. I read this is the highest in the nation.
