Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton on Thursday became the first prominent Democrat to launch a bid for Sen. Dick Durbin’s Senate seat, painting herself as a new leader who can speak for the “working people” and help stand up to President Donald Trump.
Stratton’s announcement in an early morning two-minute video comes just a day after Durbin announced he’s not seeking reelection for the Senate seat he has held since 1996.
Stratton wrote on X, “I’m Juliana Stratton, and I’m running for United States Senate.”
If someone had asked us a week ago who the Lt Gov of Illinois was, we'd have had to look it up because she is pretty much just a DEI hire that didn't register with us.
We're actually wondering if all the weed she smokes (or consumes via gummies) around Fata$$ contributed to his obvious Twinkie dependency. Maybe when the celeb endorsements start coming around, Snoop will be spotted in Springfield.

Her bio reads she trains for running marathons. I was an avid runner at one time. You know when that stopped- when I had a high stress job while juggling my family responsibilities. That just shows you how hard she’s working.

Julianna Stratton is so worried about Elon Musk who can audit the federal level money and expose the skeletons in Illinois closet. Last check her hood in Bronzeville is off the chain with crime especially homicides and not a care in the world or concern expressed by her. Her people in her hood are in economic despair and are broken. Unemployment is rampant just like drug abuse. Government section 8 is the largest real estate broker in her community in despair. Federal money talks loud. Unemployment, homicides, car jackings, drug addiction, poverty, economic upward ability denial, and public school graduates who cannot read are a lowest priority for democrat plantation politicians. Job #1 is getting Illinois politicians their greedy hands on federal money to squander and build coalitions tethered to unaccountable grants, seed money and assorted forms of funding all are ripe for many people getting their beaks wet. Its a shame said problems remain after decades of autocratic democrat control with billions of dollars to solve these chronic problems with little or no improvement. Clean up your house, clean up your democrat party and prioritize your community which is part of Illinois listing this as a win win accomplishment. And if DOGE led by the Honorable Elon Musk was to ask, what five actual accomplishments in your political career can you cite absent public office titles?
