Wheels Grind Slowly

The Slum Times will cover this one for some odd reason:

  • A Dolton police officer is accused of fraudulently receiving thousands of dollars in federal Paycheck Protection Program loans for his Off Duty Security business.

William Frederick Reed of Hazel Crest was charged Monday with providing false statements to the federal Small Business Administration, bankruptcy fraud, concealment or destruction of bankruptcy records, failure to file a tax return and perjury on tax returns.

PPP was a federal loan program implemented by the SBA to provide financial relief to small businesses and nonprofits during the COVID-19 pandemic.

But they won't look into the dozens of teachers, high ranking CPD exempts, or many dozens of government officials.

Selective prosecution... like picking who to pull over on the Dan Ryan (ISP), or any car in 004, 6, 7, 10, 11, 15...

Anyone committing PPP loan fraud needs to go to a State Prison.

Tic toc Yolanda Talley, dirty, unethical, garbage person. Those that protected her better get in front of this before it’s too late.

Well then perhaps they’ll grab the low hanging fruit at your union. Your National Anthem-singing, DEI Field Rep KG obtained one for a make believe music-related bidnizz.

And lest we forget, President J-Pussy obtained a PPP Loan under the guise of paying office personnel but instead spent that loot on a food trailer. Which he admitted to at a meeting memorialized via minutes recorded and transcribed by recording secretary Rob Noceda.

Might this be why Johnny Boy persuaded enough sycophants on the executive board to APPROVE $10,000 TO RENOVATE THE GOVERNORS MANSION. Yes, you read that correctly. Maybe greasing the wheels to call in favors when the PPP hammer drops?

More to come…

The former CTO of darts operation resigned over PPP fraud then landed at board of review.

The CIO also received an nice chunk of change but was able to Legitimize his loan using a mediocre arcade he owns in the northern suburbs.

CPD exempts were tipped off about these actions and paid back their fraudulent loans before any action was taken. There are dozens of Officers and Teachers that are being investigated right now. Some will be fired and some will find themselves indicted. Believe me, it's coming!!!!

The PPP loan fraud was so rampant throughout CPS their phony baloney Inspector General William Fletcher had to limit his office's investigation to only CPS employees making over $100,000 a year. And that number was reduced to 26 for some reason and only 16 CPS employees were nailed for PPP Loan Fraud.

What ethnic group were the CPS PPP Loan Fraudsters? If you said they were all Black people, you win a catfish combo meal at Sharks with a strawberry sodie pop.

So, that's your answer as to why all of the CPS PPP Loan Fraudsters weren't investigated by the CPS OIG's office.

Tidbits: PPP loans weren't CPS money and Fletcher was out of his jurisdiction to investigate them. The only thing he could nail the fraudsters on was a lack of Secondary Employment Approval to work outside of their CPS jobs. Fletcher also reasoned if the fraudsters scammed PPP loans, they potentially could have scammed CPS money in the future.

Fletcher is gone now, but failed to mention in any CPS Employment documents that he once worked at the law firm of Jenner & Block. Who else worked for both CPS and J&B? Forrest Claypool and Ronald Marner, both resigned during a CPS Ethics investigation into J&B and them being involved with it.

Where was Fletcher right before he was the CPS OIG? He was the park district's IG and took off for CPS after Nick Schuler was railroaded by CPS Law's Joseph Moriarty while Schuler was investigating Moriarty. How did Moriarty find out? A plant named Scott Nelson squealed on Schuler.

Fletcher left the park district at the start of the lifeguard sex abuse scandal and while he was questioning Michael Kelly. Avis Lavelle was next to be questioned but Fletcher took the CPS OIG job.

This is 💯 TRUE

And John is MAD pissed as some of his closest confidantes (AKA Nut Huggers) defected from their usual go-along-to-get-along, Vote as the King tells you to existence.

Internal rumblings are the PPP issue, combined with them hiding the financials from the membership, has got even some of the most loyal board members worried about culpability when the wheels fall off. Seriously, a $10K donation to help renovate the governors office is ludicrous.

For those interested, here’s all those that finally (albeit only momentarily) found their spines and voted against Catanzara:

Collins, Jakstavich, King, Salazar, Casciano, Graham, Lonergan, Carter, Caperelli , Shogren, Brown, Ortiz and Cardenas

I’ll be sprinkling some additional birdseed in the near future regarding the personal financial woes your unions Prez has gotten himself into. Things that make ya go “hhmmmmm…”.

As much as I want to believe you, I don’t think it’s going to happen.
The “chosen ones” will get told to pay back the loan, maybe a slap on the wrist for a few.
That’s where it ends.

Take a look at the demographics of WHO took out the loans.
That is an embarrassment that won’t see the light of day.

Again, I wish it would happen,
I want it to happen, hell, I’d even help investigate to help make it happen! But at the end of the day, only a scant few are going to get any real punishment for out-and-out theft.
Meanwhile, during that time, what was everyone else’s OT checks?

PPP program was from 2020. Bulk of the fraudulent loans were from 2021. Program had no safeguards. Just say you own a business and voila--free money.

Mark my words and don't call me Mark.

The Feds are going to move on PPP fraud in city government. Do you really think the Trump DOJ is going to ignore elected Democratic officials in Chicago getting loans? The Attorney General herself might show up if enough officials are indicted. I'd be nervous if my name were Clay or Ervin. Loans with those names show up in the PPP database.

Maybe it's all coincidence.

Maybe I'm richer than Pritzker.

Yeah, Biden doesn't remember signing it because Trump created the program in 2020.

Too much chaos in DC right now for the Feds to carry out a prosecution that would require as much time, paperwork, and consistent leadership as successfully charging a wide swathe of the incredibly corrupt City & County political class. Even on such an easy catch as PPP loan fraud.

When you're not even sure if your department will have funding next quarter - much less if you'll have a job yourself on Monday, or a retirement fund - and waking up to find the US dollar has been replaced by Hamster-coin seems entirely plausible... well, no one is leading teams on a multiyear prosecution in that situation. It's every man for himself now.
