Not His First Rodeo
A 57-year-old real estate agent from suburban Los Angeles has been arrested for the first time in his life — for allegedly having nearly 164 pounds of cocaine inside his luggage at Chicago Union Station.
“Wow. That’s a lot. I mean, that’s a lot,” observed Judge Deidre Dyer during the first court appearance for the agent, Jerome Nalbandian.
Prosecutors said Nalbandian was arrested at Union Station on April 13 with 75.15 kilos of suspected cocaine stuffed into four roller bags. That converts to 163.47 pounds.
“I have so many questions, but I know I’m not going to get the answers to them today,” the befuddled judge commented. "I’m totally shocked it’s not a federal case,” the judge commented, “but whatever. Nobody comes from another state with that many kilos. I don’t know. But I guess somebody in the drug unit was just itching to file something.”
We don't know why this wouldn't be a Federal case either - interstate transport on the railroad?
And no one, we mean no one, gets busted with 164 pounds of cocaine on their first trip. This guy has likely been doing this for a while, probably in smaller amounts before building up to larger shipments, certainly totaling thousands of pounds over the years.
Oh....and he walked out of court under the Fata$$ SAFE-T Act.

Look at his Facebook page, he’s not bashful!
Watch the movie “the mule”.
That was head for the street.
Next trip will be a plane. To a country with no extradition. Stupid pritzger
Damn. What agency made this arrest? It's got to be charged federally after this publicity. Lots of questions for the Shah of Sunset. Good case to work up.
Now they want the Feds. Just your job ass hat judge. We’re was this judge when the city wasn’t helping the Feds. Did anyone even tell the Feds. I thought the Democrat’s in Chicago were ok with drugs. More rubbish.
as they say....everything is leaving the city.
Dope too.
After losing that much product, he may not be walking much longer.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
Literally TONS of narcotics gets moved through the area every single year but nobody seems to care. For every mule caught in Chicago there’s 1,000 more that have passed through on a daily basis
Nobody told him to say its garbage and deny those bags as his own like the ppo
Just another supporter of Pritzkers Illinois!
You think he paid his state taxes for his inventory?
Now the governor can take credit for the strong illegal drug economy in Illinois.
Pretty easy to see his travel history. You can't go anywhere on transportation without ID. Hell, you can't send grandma a couple of hundred bucks without a lengthy form and your SSI #
You won’t be seeing him anytime soon.
he will soon be "missing" and maybe found floating somewhere in about 3 months
"Oh....and he walked out of court under the Fata$$ SAFE-T Act."
But Fat Ass just called Trump a public safety problem? The State is FUBAR!
Hey Einstein whaddaya thinking
Federal prosecution? LOL. “Do not put your faith in such trinkets”
No, according to CWBChicago, he walked out of court because the state's Attorney's office declined to have him jailed & the judge also went along with that, but warning him he's be arrested in California & brought back here if he doesn't show up for his court dates.
of course he'll probably take Amtrak again, who know with how much coke for each court appearance!
He is going to have some huge lawyer bills to pay for!
Interesting but sad interview about Ella and Carlos really says really explains what police go through and what happens

An Assyrian. Hmmm, that's a new one....
Maybe it wasn't his luggage.
Pure as the driven snow... 🙄😳
He might end up with a Columbian neck tie.
The USDOJ in Chicago is an absolute joke. They decline the majority of cases sent to them, including cases as easy as this. State charges are much easier to deal with even if it’s Cook County.
nobody checks ID on Amtrak trains.
The case will most likely stay state till the feds are ready to lay all of their cards on the table. They couldn't let that much dope go and couldn't reveal their case just yet. The case probably isn't a Chicago case. But guess what ? There is NO CPD transportation team. No unit watches the airports, bus terminals or train stations. Sure in the past there was, but not anymore. Its not important, I guess. The bigger issue is the cash generated from those pounds if cocaine. All that money generated will most likely go back the same way. It happens every day. It always has. Hey, make sure you have your safety vest.
Amen. NDIL doesn’t give a fuck unless it involves corrupt politicians or 90 year old Italian grandfathers that killed some other shitbag in the 1950s.
Final Jeopardy - Answer: This is what happened to Jerome Nalbandian and Steve Buscemi. Question: What is the woodchipper?
I don’t know what this statement means.
headED for the street?
If that’s what you mean, well no shit, Sherlock! It’s not going to a museum.
Stick to writing parkers.
Sometimes answering for the 164 kilos of product you just lost might be a worse fate than Jail or paying a scumbag dope lawyer.
164 Kilos is how much $? Depending on how pure, step on it a few times, increase the value. Figure -/+ $5 Million in the end.
That’s someone’s money, and someone gotta answer for that!
I had a good for nothing relative that worked for the railroad. Long story short, they once handed a relative a nightgown that was supposed to go to their elderly grandparent in a nursing home. That other relative felt it was heavy and discovered they had about a pound of marijuana in it. They flushed it. Later, the brain fried relative came back looking for it & let’s just say they weren’t happy. The railroad has almost no oversight for the transportation of narcotics. I’ve known people who’ve worked for RR, every other one is a cocaine or some variation of it addict. I’ve no doubt that employees as well as passengers are transporting all kinds of stuff coast to coast.
Historically the train is the safest way to travel.
I guess DOGE did away with the DEA and there are no federal charges. Whatta shit show!
Dart you been Sheriff about 25yrs. Inmate was 3x when you took over the jail. Stop complaining or resign. Burke locking up bad guys. Oh, No!!

Over under and how long before this clown gets a death nap via the dirt
You are correct, it was not a CPD team that made that arrest. But obviously someone is watching the airports, bus terminals and train stations since CPD upper management decided to let that go.
Any connection to CPD Academy incident in earlier SCC Blog Posting?
(You never know....)
Off Topic: Hey Stacey Gates,it’s all rolling now, thank U Potter!!!!!!
not my luggage
Guys nobody cares about narcotics. Nobody
So the DEA didnt want this guy? Something is fishy here!
Armenian not Assyrian
