Chicago police officers found a 16-year-old boy shot dead among a large group gathered on an Englewood street overnight, according to CPD. Nobody called 911 about the shooting, but officers at the scene said it appeared the victim had been dragged across the street after being shot.
It’s unfortunate that Mayor Brandon Johnson disconnected the city’s ShotSpotter gunfire detection system in September. Before he did that, the area where the boy was murdered was monitored by gunshot sensors that could bring police to the scene even when humans, for some reason, don’t bother calling 911.
Well, if the "humans" don't care to call 9-1-1, then perhaps the Department needs to re-direct the mission from "prevention" to "clean up" and hire some second tier non-pensioned laborers to pick up the dead bodies when they start to stink. Send the trained cops to the perpetually undermanned tax-paying parts of town that want the police around.
Oh, and let them actually work.

And throw a monkey wrench into the ghetto lottery?? No way!! These neighborhoods absolutely WANT the police around, so when their n'er do well family members get smoked by CPD, they've got a big check coming. More money than he was ever worth.

Common sense would indicate that this would be the thing to do, but the liberal loon politicians would never allow it. If you let the police do what they are supposed to do it would defeat the Democrat’s goal to emasculate the police, which at present is to be the good will ambassadors of the Democrat Party.

A clear civil rights violation being shot and dragged across the street, a true hate crime in every aspect of the crime. Not some democrat legislatures definition of hate crime with "offensive" words and beliefs granted to exclusive protected classes. Now if the deceased 16 year old was dragged across the street with a chain by a pickup truck, the national news can then deem this a hate crime using their well established and often refuted stereotypes of persons residing in the south. Nation mainstream media uses human tragedy if it can keep certain demographics good and agitated reinforcing certain well established false stereotypes.
