Welcome to the Party
The States Attorney's office has caught up to where we were years ago:
Cook County’s electronic monitoring program has become “a serious threat to public safety” because the office of Chief Judge Timothy Evans, which recently assumed responsibility for its operation, is not equipped or prepared to handle it.
That’s not us talking. That’s Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke, who instructed the county’s prosecutors to publicly object anytime a judge places a defendant on an ankle monitor instead of granting the state’s request to keep them in jail.
Credit to O'Neill Burke for saying what Crimesha never would:
After years of effort, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart successfully transferred responsibility for the electronic monitoring program on April 1. Dart has repeatedly said the county is misusing the program by putting violent and dangerous offenders on ankle monitors when the system was designed for low-level offenses like drug possession.
Evans’ office has operated a separate electronic monitoring program for many years, but it has generally been used for defendants who are given nighttime curfews, not for 24/7 monitoring.
In a memo to her staff, O’Neill Burke said Evans’ electronic monitoring staff members are not law enforcement officers, and they cannot make arrests. If an electronic monitoring participant goes AWOL, the top prosecutor said, Evans’ staff must “call 911 or seek assistance from law enforcement” and then take the matter to court.
More calls that CPD won't be able to answer, more warrants to be issued (weeks later). Maybe you'll stumble on these fugitives on a traffic stop that Fatass, Prickwrinkle and Conehead are actively telling you NOT to do and passing laws to make it illegal for you to even do that.
Fun times!

Are there any Sheriff’s here who can elaborate on this more?

“ A young woman named Danielle Carter-Walters who lives in Chicago and is part of a group called ‘Chicago Flips Red’ testified before the House this week and slammed Democrats over sanctuary city policies and the effect they have had on the people of her city.………..”
Good testimony before Congress. Will Mayor Conehead offer a rebuttal?
I'm retired from CC Probation dept, and was an officer in the Home/Confinement unit. Several loose facts here, and at the end Ill explain why. We have been operating a unit for 24/7/365 for the past 20 years. Also, per Illinois statue, we in fact are peace officers. Can't do arrests? Once again per statue, it says a probation officer, sheriff or police officer can arrest probationers for violations. Years ago, a grossly obese man ran the armed units of the the probation dept, and some may remember he liked to call CPD via CC dispatch, when we would find a small amount of weed, or a bullet inside subjects casa. He would then have offender inform on bigger or more series offenders in exchange for not violating probation. The unit was even in an article in the slum times with an award from the FBI, for cooperation on various cases, with a group picture with Chief Judge Evans. Eventually the obese deputy chief from the probation dept. was fired, after a series of articles appeared in the tribune, and an "investigation" was done by the chief judges office. After about a year, with no investigation released, the trib then published an article about the obese probation chief about how we was on paid time off ( for over a year using his accumulated time for answering a "gang phone" ) He was then fired. He sued in fed court for discrimination ( he is white). He lost in his case in fed court, but incredibly the county settled his case with a payment, despite losing in fed court. ( He had connected lawyers) Since that time, most of the armed units have been disbanded, except the home confinment unit. But no arrests, no searches are now done. Dont want any bad publicity for the Chief Judges Office.
Was Roe Conn in charge?
How does the Sherrif just declare he is not going to do part of his job?
“Suns out, EM bands out!”
-Det. Torres
There are plenty of empty beds at the County Jail.
Dart entered office Budget was 280M, 7400 sworn employees... 600M budget now, 5000 employees. Not even considering tens millions in covid fraud, ghost payrolling. Feds need to take over that disaster!
The sheriff's office is under FBI investigation after inmates died during covid while Dart campaign workers were allegedly ghost payrolling in charge of covid unit
wow,,,, cook county deputy can arrest for probation violations??? wow, dude,,,, that's doing some fine "police" work there,,, so tell me,,,, do you go back out on patrol taking calls in the hood when your done with that arrest?
You guys don’t arrest anyone. You call the sheriffs EM or locals/Cpd. You guys can hardly answer a phone or get a band on a leg in less than 48hrs. All the voops get arrested and charged by police or the sheriffs, everything else you call 911 or county dispatch for them to contact the jurisdiction. The guys from the 90s wanted bad to be the police so started doing home checks and acting like they were conducting search warrants. What will probably happen, is probation takes over, Evans cries about it and gets preckwinkle to make sheriffs police do all the enforcement
From the time Dart took over the Sheriff’s Office. He’s manage to kill everything good about. From he’s bullshit administration hires. That list is too long to name. To the embarrassment of Dart putting himself and others in his administration into obtaining an L.E certification. Hey Tom did any of those individuals go thought the process of a new hire psychology test, general orders test or writing exam? The answer is NO.
Darts lackey's take 2 week FBI course, act like certified federal agents in resumes. Joke office!
