A 25-year-old self-described “pro-mortalist” has been identified as the attacker who detonated a car bomb outside a fertility clinic in Palm Springs Saturday — killing himself and injuring four other people, according to sources.
[...] Bartkus allegedly described his fanatical pro-death beliefs in written and recorded manifestos as being against bringing people into the world without their consent to spare them from future suffering, KCAL news reported.
Basically, he claims that since he didn't "consent to exist" then he was entitled to off himself (no issue here) but also he could blow up a fertility clinic that was also full of embryos that didn't give their consent either.
His best friend convinced her roommate to kill her a couple weeks ago while she slept because she didn't consent to exist either. The roommate is currently facing charges.
Remember, just because it sounds completely batshit crazy, doesn't mean that someone somewhere doesn't believe it with all their being and won't hesitate to act on those beliefs.

People today are much, much more self-absorbed then they were 40 or 50 years ago. It’s called a “lack of Faith in God.” I go to church regularly and there are pretty much ONLY elderly people there. By elderly, I mean age 75 and up. People have abandoned God and others as a focal point in their lives. I see this shit in my own family too. Selfish mother f’kers. That’s why you see this crap everywhere. It’s called dancing with the devil.
That's just more mental illness causing violence. We need to start locking these people away so they can only hurt themselves. No more school shootings, no more crazy homeless stabbings, no more pushing people in front of trains, no more bombings of fertility clinics, etc. The moment anyone gives clear signs that they're mentally ill to the point of being a danger to themselves or others, they should be institutionalized until the day they can live normally with others, even if that day never comes. Everyone does not have the right to live freely and express their crazy beliefs, and force those beliefs on other people. Freedom is for those who don't negatively impact the freedom of others with violence and insanity. Criminals and dangerous mentally unstable people don't belong out in the world. Give them all a nice cell, padded or otherwise.

I read "Psychos Still Exist" and thought Brandon, Prickster, Hillary or Kamala. Seriously, there is sin in this world. This is all good vs. evil. It is sad.
Though I appreciate all of the comments re higher authority spiritually, I wonder if anyone even tried logic with this whack job. Like perhaps ask him how the hell the unborn are supposed to give their permission to be born. Seems like a pretty bug obstacle in his logic chain.

Agree. The self-absorption is off the charts and affects the quality of performance in jobs, relationships, life skills and the like. It’s why no one wants to apply for jobs that require working with people; they’re nuts.
Once all the boomers die off(I’m one of them) at least in the Catholic Church, you’ll see Churches closing all over. It’s all ready happening. Several Churches in the South Suburbs have consolidated into one and even those are minimally attended by the older folk. People in my own family have abandoned the church, or attend non-denominational mega churches. Our own granddaughter asks to go to church with the wife and her parents deny it. I’m not saying church is the answer, but it’s pretty sobering that young people are abandoning religion by the millions

There's no logic involved. These are people who are lonely, depressed, awkward weirdos who can't function normally, so they create the "I didn't ask to be born" excuse for their failure to be normal, functioning members of society. They need psychiatric intervention, most likely the permanent in-patient kind.
