Takeover Warning

There was a stark warning Saturday night along Chicago's lakefront for the potential of a so-called "teen takeover" this weekend.
It came after recent trends in the downtown area turned violent and erupted in gunfire.
"Through posts on social media, the Chicago Police Department has been made aware of a potential gathering at one of Chicago's beaches this weekend," CPD said, in a statement.
It was supposed to be 31st Street Beach, but the afternoon was said to be quiet. No idea about overnight yet.
These kids aren't completely dumb, so we'd expect some efforts at misdirection, before something pops up elsewhere on short notice. We don't know what intelligence operation might be working in the background, but hopefully it exists.

They put in parking restrictions and the neighborhood was complaining they were "imprisoned." Fine. Next time let them park there so they're cars can be twerking platforms.

55 years ago I remember my dad driving the family southeast to the Museum Of Science & Industry and southwest to Playland, zig-zagging from intersections to different streets as if we were a u-boat surrounded by destroyers.
