Who Cares?

It used to be that investigative reporters would concentrate their efforts on rooting out government scandals. You know, the "watchdog" that kept the voters informed, the politicians nervous and the blatant corruption at bay. Now, they're useless, running cover for one party over the other, pushing "entertainment" and distraction over actual accountability.

Cuck Goudie continues to be one of the worst:

  • NBC 5 Chicago’s nationally-renowned Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning journalist [Cuck] Goudie is set to reveal answers in one of the biggest mysteries in Chicago crime history when he unveils the killer of legendary mob boss Sam “Momo” Giancana in an unprecedented, two-part NBC 5 Investigates series - “Who Killed Momo?” - airing Wednesday, May 14 (Part I) and Thursday, May 15 (Part II) on NBC 5 News at 10 p.m.

Um....who cares? Giancana was killed fifty years ago. No doubt, the shooter has long since expired of natural or other causes. No one is going to be held accountable, tried or imprisoned. It was someone who chose a life of crime, rose through the ranks during a particularly violent era, and ultimately paid the price that many criminals do.

Meanwhile, Conehead is bankrupting what's left of the city, Prickwrinkle what's left of Cook County, and Fata$$ trying to make everyone forget about Toilet-gate, Unindicted Co-Conspriator A and flying his daughter and horses around the country during COVID.

Great job there Cuck.

Investigative reporters are too afraid of losing their media credentials from the mayor’s office and News Affairs. The current Superintendent and mayor get snappy with reporters that bring up scandals. The Superintendent over talks Heather Cherone and Conehead does the same to Maryann Ahern. At one point Groot went as far as to banned non- Black reporters that didn’t agree with her. Tom Schuba from Suntimes and CWB Chicago are amongst the few that write about politics corruption.

Blatant political corruption? We’re these officers invited to the 64th Annual Appreciation and Recognition Ceremony:

Hardworking and devoted to their job, would be an accurate description of the narcotics police officers who observed Chief Yolanda Talley’s (Internal Affairs) car in a known drug area of the city. Talley’s niece was in control of the vehicle when her passenger Kenneth Miles threw dozens of baggies of heroin out the car window as they were being stopped by the narcotics officers.
My first thought was what type of honor they would receive, but not in the politically controlled Chicago Police Department. Instead of accolades, they were demoted and placed on desk duty. They were punished for doing an admirable job, taking heroin off the city’s street.
During the initial traffic stop, Talley’s niece immediately declared that the car belonged to her aunt, the Chief of Internal Affairs and she may be the police officer’s boss. This started the political ball rolling: The automobile, normally automatically towed as prisoner’s property, was ordered returned to the Chief. The niece was released without charges because of a lack of evidence, even though the officers observed the baggies of heroin being thrown from the Chief’s car with only her and Miles in the car at the time.
This one incident ruined the lives of honest, hardworking police officers and shielded criminals from prosecution.
You wonder why morale on the police department is at an all-time low and why citizens of Chicago still don’t trust the police. Especially after they sat and watched auntee” become 2nd in charge of the CPD.

The Supe and mayor publicly praised “auntee”, but neither of them not even once, mentioned her integrity or her being trustworthy, honesty or having character.

Giancana's daughter, the one who wrote "Mafia Princess", said she knew who did it, but I don't think she revealed it.

Had the displeasure of handling email threats made to him years ago, went through the whole process and came up with the offender, when it came time to sign complaints he refused. His reasoning was that he's a public figure and this was part of the job and blamed his producers for filing the report. GFYC

Back when dinosaurs 🦕 ruled the earth I had great admiration for the first mayor Daley. Seemed like a great man and was doing wonders for this city. Downtown, urban renewal, the new expressways, ohare airport,mc cormick place, the new sky scrapers etc. Beginning s of a world class city. Of course we only knew what the press releases told us. I used to actually feel sorry for the mayor for what Walter jackobson did to him on a nightly basis. Same with the famous newspaper man who drank at the billygoat,Mike royko. We didn't have internet then and people tended to believe it was all legit. Pam zeckmans marage scandle was like an fbi investigation. Even greylord turned the courts upside down. What happened ? Now with the internet the public turns over all the dirt to the press for free and what happens ? St Schultz, I see nothing. I used to think the press was too hard on the politicians, now the useless bastards lie and run cover for any piece of thieving shit with a D after their name. My have times changed , 1984 has come and gone ,and it's only getting worse.

Media is the democrat’s lapdog, not a watchdog for the people anymore.
There are no more P.J. McNeals of Call Northside 777 fame, who doggedly worked the streets, doing real investigative reporting.

Sheesh, with all of the corruption within the democratic party you would think some blockbuster scandals would be broken by the media, daily. But instead we get rehashed mobster tales about who “took out the trash” and the Emmitt Till scab picking by the media every so often, to just keep that fire smouldering.

Scared little kitties, each and every one of these “investigative” reporters. Can not and WILL not “find” any of the deep corruption going on in this state. Too scared of the “party” and what happens to those who DARE to dig too deep. Eh, H.C.? Better to write about decades old murders than the current status of lies, deceit, malfeasance, and money laundering.
