A 11.5% cut in the overall asking price (sorry about the paywall article, but there are work-arounds):
Former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley took 10% off the asking price of his Lake Shore Drive condo today.
Daley, who served six terms as mayor from 1989 to 2011, is now asking $1 million for the two-bedroom condo. That's down $100,000 from what he had been asking for it since February. The condo first hit the market in November at a little more than $1.13 million. In all, Daley has cut 11.5% out of his original asking price.
All those years of political favors and barely concealed corruption, and the disastrous trifecta of Rahm/Groot/Conehead trashes the downtown real estate market to the point Shortshanks has to take a double digit haircut to make a measly $135K before commissions and such.
Good thing he has two or three pensions to fall back on.

It's definitely three pensions, plus his "at-counsel" job at the law firm that negotiated the sale of the skyway and/ or parking meters.

I am surprised that either some PAC ("Friends of Bridgeport" or "How YOU Doin? Enterprises") or Dubai based shell corporation/LLC didn't buy it at 30-50% over asking price.
If Richie was still mayor, that would have happened 20 minutes after it was listed.

Yep, I remember when he pulled the old Vincent “the chin” Gigante routine and faked Alzheimer’s, Shortshanks avoided a deposition that way. Watch Joe Biden, Pelosi, and a few others to try the same thing in the future.
What they fail to think about is there is a judge to answer to after they pass, hope they repent before it’s too late.

Can’t control? Clearly, you don’t have understand the three most important factors in real estate. Location, location, and location. If the condo was in Florida, he would bank 1.5 to 2 million. You get what you vote for.

They ruined Chicago, left us with Rahm, then Lori, and that rapid decline in civility led to Conehead and the accelerating financial destruction of Chicago. You can thank Bill and Richie for that, and Feds never investigated their systematic drip-drip-drip embezzlement of city, one meter at a time.
