Zero Homicide Weekend?

Two men were found dead early Sunday morning in Morgan Park, Chicago police said.
Police officers found the men lying in the street around 1:15 a.m. in the 11700 block of South Marshfield Avenue. They were both pronounced dead at the scene, and police said there “was no apparent trauma” to their bodies.
Overdoses?
Or walking carbon monoxide poisoning?
Still, approaching the end of the year and Chicago is still in the low 400s....420 or so.

How do you stop the shootings. You take away the targets. Pre-trial detentions are way up since that skunk crimesha left office and Midway Blitz is going full speed ahead.

Some of us old guys remember Joe McCarthy as a Deputy of Tactical Services and in charge of Special Employment back in the late 70's and early 80's. He wanted the parks, playgrounds, basketball courts and alleys cleared of drinkers. Return the parks back to the citizens. Confiscate the alcohol and lock up the offenders. More than 3 people (gangbangers) on the corner locked up for possible gang activity.
The homicide rate was around 800-900 for several years. In one year of this enforcement the numbers went down 210 homicides. A solid number. Took the drive-by shootings down and the bottle gang stabbings and domestics down also. Taking the victims off the street and enforcing the law, will actually lower crime. However, the Law enforcement friends in the ACLU knew the city would not pay for the officers' court time, so they petitioned the courts to stop this enforcement tactic because the city had no intention of prosecuting these cases. Your city and the ACLU actually showed all that if you stop enforcement, crime will go up and stay up.
Learning how to handle and shoot a weapon will help the numbers grow

We ended up with two homicides - one traditional lead poisoning and the other involved a woman who died in a car accident fleeing a shooting. In that one, CPD labeled it a homicide before the ME did (they usually go the "accident" route with those). As for the two found dead on the street, they were the result of a hit and run. Usually hit and runs take some time to play out meaning they'll stay death investigations until late January or February.
Old patrolman Joe. He had a keen eye and a great memory. He was a better boss than any of these clowns they have now.

Joe McCarthy was my tact Lt. in the early 70’s in the old Fillmore 011 and new Harrison district and later when he was Deputy car3 in charge of Gang crimes and Sog . Was a great boss and very smart and great recall of wanted people on the daily bulletin. His famous saying was for assholes / gang bangers etc. .Life in prison a day at a time and they won’t be shooting/ or creating problems tonight
Hey Jackass is right on the money. Somewhere in all those "death investigations" there are more than a few homicides. This practice of scrubbing the numbers has been going on for years.
