An Indictment, Finally

The "puncher" caught a couple cases:

• A man accused of punching several women in Chicago's Loop appeared in court Friday, where he was indicted.

  Marlon Miller is facing three counts of aggravated battery.

  Some have argued the 40-year-old suspect should have never been on the streets.

"some"?

Anyone with a brain you mean?

In fact, there was a missed opportunity quite a while ago:

• Miller was also accused of throwing a milkshake at a woman near the Chicago Theatre last month and punching two women in the face on Lake Street in October. After that incident, a judge placed him on electronic monitoring.

We thought the "Crimesha Precedent" allowed for Felony charges whenever a beverage was utilized in an assault? Or was this yet another case of the political clout of the victim being the deciding factor in appropriate charging?
