Officers Injured
Bad wreck involving a stolen car:
Two Chicago police officers were seriously injured when a stolen car crashed into their police SUV early Monday in Lake View near Wrigley Field.
The officers were southbound in the 3600 block of North Racine Avenue around 3 a.m. when a Hyundai Elantra ran a stop sign and struck their marked police SUV, Chicago police said.
After the collision, the Elantra hit three parked vehicles and the police SUV was pushed onto the sidewalk and into a tree, police said.
The officers were taken to a hospital and treated for “serious” injuries, police said. The Elantra’s driver, an 18-year-old man, was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition.
There was an active search going on for the vehicle when this occurred.
Get well soon Officers.

The PPP program that Biden came up with will go do as his disaster ever. Cost the tax papers Billions
Getting blindsided by the vehicle you’re on high-alert for sounds a little weird.
Hope the coppers are ok.
"18 year old man" ...soon we will see his 8th grade graduation picture alongside this story in the slum times.
Good thing it wasn’t one or two of the chosen 1980 series cars the useless pickup trucks they have , that’s where you can slash budget . The fake OT they bring in also 12 hr days GTFO
Please get well, injuries have a tendency to show up later in life.
Now from the "folks"
He was a good boi, just funin, dinn do nuffin, etc.
Hopefully they were not chasing.
Shitbird dies, ghetto family will sue the department and they could kiss their careers goodbye.
God bless the real police officers who protect 🙏 our citizens from the lowest non productive savages. Hurry to get well soon Democrats are no good.
Get well soon Officers.

The pick up trucks are paid for by the Cubs..know what your talking about.
Stay on IOD for a year...
Glad consider adult and not saying child/youth etc
Well wishes and recovery for our officers 💙
Absolutely correct! I was involved in three AAs off-duty over the span of my time on the job (28 years), and didn't REALLY start to experience the full effects until after I retired.
You sound a little weird !
Cheers!
Feel better soon Offices
Ummm there are plenty of stolen cars. Go find one hot shot. Also, run for some political goal so stolen cars aren’t fishy anymore
Praying for the time necessary for a full and complete recovery to our members of Chicago's Finest. God Bless you all.
Speaking of 19 did you all hear about Eli Voulgaris making traffic stops on the Kennedy?
He hasn’t taken his 8th grade graduation picture yet.
Injuries from accidents linger for life. get well soon
Government employees were the biggest offenders in the fraud. Hope that new Lexus and gettin nails and hair did was worth it. Git dat money.

FYI your new contract books are at the FOP. i asked my rep for one and they said JCAT doesnt want watch reps passing them out for an unknown reason.
its online TOO... Happy New Years
Glad the officers are ok !
OFT One of the barbie dolls in 025 was spotted complaining on FB that 12 hr days and RDO canceled for NYE . Three years and on second watch I get it sucks when your RDO but really it can be worse .
And he waz a ....honor student too...
Sounds like other officers were chasing vehicle and caused the crash. Not worth it anymore police chases
Maybe it was being pursued
Yes that's what it sounds like
Making traffic stops while he is retired. Explain. He used to make traffic stops while he was a commander and after he stirred up the hornet's nest he would leave it for the beat car to sort it out.
Newbie PO used the squad car to block the intersection.
He's done.
Yes so what , he’s a certified officer he works for the County . You complain when people pad pensions by doing nothing and you complain when they do work .
Elias Voulgaris (M.P.A. ’15) is bringing his 35 years of experience with the Chicago Police Department to bear in his new role as an expert witness for the International Criminal Court at The Hague, Netherlands.
At least she's not a company coward like you. Some of us prefer to spend time with people we tolerate. No amount of fake coworker smiles or American dollars is worth trading that time for. Stop drinking the coolaid, loser. Ohh and go fetch the boss some blue cards before your cancelled day off. Too bad I cannot join you tomorrow I have the sniffles.
Get some time on and never have to worry about that nonsense.
Not a “company coward”. What did you think when you joined a police department in a major city?? A 9-5 m-f??? I can’t tell you how many old timers and family members told me not to be the police in Chicago.. this was about 25 years ago. Even though the “good ole days” were different they even knew what it mean being a big city policeman. No holidays or weekends off until you’re RDO. Otherwise seniority rules and you don’t get on days till 18-20 years in decent districts back then. People like you I’m sure never had a hard job before CPD. Drank the kool aid in the academy and thought it was gonna be great. Took all the pictures in your uniform and told war stories… but then realized you had to be on midnights for 5 years and work weekends and holidays before you could even think about going to afternoons. It’s a big city department.. maybe a small little po dunk town would be better because you clearly weren’t prepared for this job. The sniffles???? Talk about a coward. Don’t call yourself a policeman.. nobody feels bad for you because you have to work sometimes violent NYE in a big city. Go work at a bank or something.
😂 what?!? I got one on the mail the other day. I don't even know who the reps are where I'm at, they have a good hiding spot
..return to duty, build a portfolio for recurring injury for back injury, see Dr. Quackenbush for medical diagnosis qualifying R/O for medical disability. Ride out til retirement age. Don't get caught at the gym or working your side gig as a roofer. Rinse, repeat...

Don't come one here explaining your weak self. Time to man up and be free.
get well soon officers.
019 has a bunch of young cowboy idiots on third and first watch .
The person defending her must be a boyfriend or something . When you took the oath and got that star pinned on your shirt you knew you could be working every holiday miss parties etc , this is all nothing new . 025 is filled with a bunch of barbies especially third watch and now it’s spreading onto second watch .
Elias is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet so anyone bad mouthing him must have been a dog . He works for one of the gigs at the County now . Nothing but good things about him truly one of the best bosses ever on the job . If people like him were still around the dept would be better off .
Deaf, Horny, Stupid
Heard they went to 020 and looked for the stolen cars. Then chased them back into 019 and got hit by one of the stolen cars. Shit head was critical and officers were ok. Commander finally showed up after milking medical 🥛
I was born and raised in Lakeview, three blocks from Wrigley Field. Got kicked out by the yuppies in the early 1980's and had a chance to move back in the late 1990's into my great aunt's two flat. The folks across the alley decided to put a basketball hoop on their garage. Many a night we would be woken up to the sounds of a ball being dribbled by random passersby's direct from the ghetto! Now what could they have possibly been rolling around that neighborhood doing at 1 AM? Not looking for basketball hoops I assume.
020 is nowhere near wrigley
-020 is nowhere near wrigley-
Um, 20 borders 19 which includes Wrigley
