The City of Gary, Indiana released renderings of what a Bears stadium in the area could look like if Chicago's football team decides to move outside of Illinois.
On a website called "bearstadiumdistrict.com," the City of Gary, Indiana shared renderings of its "bold vision for a new Bears Stadium District" anchored by the I-80 and I-94 corridor in Northwest Indiana.
Remember, Fata$$ and Conehead want ILLEGAL ALIENS here more than they want a stadium that would provide thousands of union jobs during construction and even more jobs over the long term associated with running a stadium, including concessions, delivery, maintenance and hospitality employment.
Not to mentions tens (perhaps hundreds) of millions in tax revenue.

Financing a Bears stadium in Gary makes absolute sense for the state of Indiana.

Multiple studies have proven beyond any doubt, that publicly funded stadiums never, ever make money for the governments that pay for them. In fact they cost those governments huge amounts of tax money that never ever is recovered. They are a total waste of our tax money.
The Bears & the rotten to the core greedy beyond belief McCaskey family want at least a billion in tax money for infrastructure work to build the Arlington park stadium.
Their insane design has the stadium at least a half mile from the current Arlington park Metra station, a station that the Chicago & Northwestern Ry specifically designed for the big crowds that used to go to see horse races. It even has a tunnel under the tracks, so the train passengers don't have to cross the tracks to get to the race track. The tunnel is currently closed off & would need a rehab, but that would be cheap.
But no, the crooked McCaskeys want Metra to have to build an entirely new station a half mile north of the current one, for at least $50 million that's actually utterly unnecessary! They also want new expressway entrances & entrances to serve the stadium, with the taxpayers also responsible for the construction costs!
So let them go to Indiana, they will end up regretting that, as the fans who go there, will discover what a clusterfuck the I80-94 is an overcrowded disaster, especially on Sundays, as all those people coming home from their Michigan vacation homes. That will cut off their actual gate numbers & they will have empty seats every home game.

Personally, no offense to your above research, but I believe that the Bears will be at Arlington and they are just posturing with the Indiana leaks to play up to Illinois/Arlington.
The Bears also had their suits research and investigate the Arlington site long before it was for sale and thought that it would be the right fit for them.
That's why the McCaskey shelled out the big $$ for that site.
Everything else, I believe is just politics and posturing to get a better deal.

Absolutely true, I take 355 to 80 east to 394 south every day and the traffic 24/7 is appalling. Every truck in the country goes thru there at least 5 xways funnel into it to get around the south end of the lake. Other than that I would like to see all the teams leave as it's the only thing most of the brain dead Democrat voters care about.

Will the Bears move to Indiana ? I say the odds are 50-50, mostly because of property taxes. The new Bears stadium would be privately owned which opens the Bears up to a whopping property tax bill based on current structure.For comparison : The Rams new stadium is jointly owned by government and the Rams and their annual tax bill is 9 Million. The Bears new stadium which would be privately owned would have an annual tax bill between 100-200 Million. Ye, unless changes are made the Bears will head to Indians and will make lots of money. Indiana is rolling out the reed carpet for the Bears and their new complex will become an entertainment hub.

Its time for the city of Chicago to seize the bears via imminent domain. The player could become municipal employees subject to the residency requirement. This would allow the player to be taxed at the "rich rate." The amount of goverment socialism this could support would be a model for other cities.
