Unfortunately, it's more like the Jerry Spring Show with Guns:
A Chicago police officer was disciplined for posting pornographic images of her child’s father online after she found him on a date with another woman while she was pregnant, newly released records show.
A police supervisor agreed last month to suspend officer [DV]for five days and noted that her case “should be reviewed for a potential criminal referral.”
But the supervisor also acknowledged the three-year statute of limitations had lapsed for bringing revenge porn charges, the records show.
[V] confronted her child’s father as he and the other woman were leaving a movie theater in the Loop in November 2022, according to a report by the city’s Civilian Office of Police Accountability. [V] stood in front of their car and repeatedly told them she was pregnant before striking the driver’s side window with a roller skate, the report says.
Try to do better people.
And try to not embarrass the Department with these media side shows.

This goes back to who is in charge of the hiring? Have our standards become that low? Then again when you do get hired, you look at the so-called command staff who used to have respect now it’s just a laughable clown show overweight out of shape, brainless people that all they do is steal from the Pension that’s an order thing. The Pension should be like the Chicago fire department highest civil service rank, which would be Lieutenant enough money. They make enough on the job as they are in the Goldstar club.

Meh, big deal. About 10 years ago an Officer walked into an ER saying she was suffering from a panic attack and shortness of breath. She tells the staff that she’s afraid her boyfriend will post their anal sex pics online to be seen by her husband and kid. Apparently she was trying to end the extramarital relationship.

The two sergeants leading the recruitment unit need to be booted along with all of the officers there. This what happens when you are recruiting to fill race rather than look for the best qualified candidate . Recruiting at gas stations in the ghetto? Great idea!

How about the Asian guy in 001 who was on social media with a bust-out on top of him while he had little to no police equipment? His face was in the guys ball sack area while on the ground. Then he is on social media learning jiu-jitsu. Is this for real? Who is this guy and WTF?
Why not? When I was deployed in 7 I used to talk to the youth that worked in the convenience stores etc and would tell them to join the job, they need encouragement and confidence building- let them turn as many as these kids lives around look at what they’re doing otherwise with teen takeover bullshit at minimum to start- if I was these kids in the hood I’d GTFO and join the military asap among other ideas I have- from a FTO girl that cares

Hey, must be something about being the police in Chicago. I thought I was happily married until my wife came on the job. It took her about one year before she started having affairs, three in total before I divorced her. Best, but hardest thing I ever did. I kept my pension as she had a pension. None of the married co-workers of hers left their wives for her. Her last fling ran the final five years we were married.
Are IRT members detectives or POs? Do they investigate this too?

Before telling the youth in 007 to "join" the job, you have to tell them to get their associates or bachelor degree. I worked in 007 and there were plenty of kids who might make good cops but you wouldn't find them working in convenience stores or hanging out on street corners. The good parents in 007 didn't let their kids out (much).
Glad you kept your pension. That witch will get hers someday. Hopefully no kids involved but if so, they don't deserve her. Stay safe.
