Anyone know how much the Catholic Church pays in taxes every year?

And if they don't pay taxes, commenting on expenditures of tax payer funds is generally off limits.

Yes, we're aware of politicians campaigning at certain churches and such, but they don't actively solicit funds. That would - and has - run afoul of IRS guidelines regarding non-profits.

But if Mikey wants to comment on how the government spends tax money, well then by golly, his organization ought to start paying taxes starting with Illinois Property Taxes. 

After all, there are pension shortfalls to make up and a whole boatload of untaxed revenue to be tapped.
