- At least five people were killed and 22 others were injured in shootings across Chicago since Friday afternoon.

The shit show continues. The criminals have the upper hand with the Safety Act. The FOP needs to get rid of ILETSB so officers don’t have to fear losing their jobs. We need a new Superintendent and a replacement of the whole upper Command. Bring in people who know what they’re doing. The Mayor and Superintendent have a year to go before voters have their say.

So today I read a post regarding a teen take over in their solemn community.
These people truly believe they are the rock bed of society. One women posted regarding the takeover, ‘ Revving engines and four wheelers racing around South Shore Drive doing wheelies. I have no idea what's going on.’
These people are so out of touch with what’s going on in the city it’s comical.
Another poster said it like it was and after a short period of time the moderator kicked him out of the group and deleted his post. The moderator is a JN Sinaiko as far left as they come.
I’ve learned from reading their posts they hate CPD with all their energy, and all disorder and crime is due to CPD negligence.

You sound like a typical mouth-breathing copper. ILETSB is a state entity that doesn’t answer to FOP, CPD, OPP, etc. It’s great that they are taking a more proactive approach to curtailing some of the egotistical pricks in the department. If they are hurting FOP’s feelings, even better!

The Chicago Police Department's LGBTQ+ Liaisons were at Midsommarfest in Andersonville and at Pride Fest in Hyde Park this past weekend. To help celebrate Pride Month, the liaisons set up resource tables to connect with residents in attendance.
This type of activity is fine but should be on the police officers own time, not on the clock as a permanent assignment.
Same goes for CAPS officers. Put them all in a beat car to protect all citizens.

Isn’t the street deputy supposed to be rolling around all night, or at least dropping anchor somewhere central so she can be anywhere within a reasonable amount of time? 2 hours is not reasonable for someone who is supposed to be out taking charge or a hostile scene. Years ago I was a lieutenant on the 1st watch in a southside district. Officers from the watch had made a good pinch and felony charges were rejected by Felony Review. Our Commander was on furlough so I called in the street deputy for an override. She hemmed and hawed for about twenty minutes when her female driver, who had worked in a different district with me years earlier told the street deputy, he knows what he's doing. I've worked with him before. The deputy then approved the override, based on the word of her driver that I actually was competent. I see things haven't changed much.
