COPA had issues with this one, seeing as it was pretty much all lies:
- A Chicago Police sergeant who was accused of using excessive force against protesters at a children’s storytime event featuring comedian Tiffany Haddish in 2024 has been cleared of nearly all misconduct allegations, including the central claim that he unjustifiably tackled a demonstrator. Investigators instead found that the officer was the victim in the confrontation, having hot coffee thrown on him and being battered by multiple people at the scene. The woman who filed the complaint, officials said, wasn’t even present at the protest.
And THIS is why the Sworn Affidavit was the best thing to happen to the Department in decades, even if prosecutions were almost non-existent. The complainant WASN'T EVEN THERE, yet made a complaint to events she didn't witness.
But COPA had to get their licks in
- Of the six allegations against [the sergeant], one was sustained, three were not sustained, one was unfounded, and he was exonerated of the sixth. The only sustained violation stemmed from [the sergeant] calling a civilian an expletive during the height of the confrontation. COPA recommended a reprimand and retraining.
AFTER the sergeant had been attacked with hot coffee, physically battered and the offender was attempting to flee from a lawful and justified arrest, COPA tags the sergeant for using a bad word and recommends retraining.
Fuck. These. Assholes.
Oh, and the "protest" was manufactured outrage over the arrest of two "palestinian" yutes - the yutes being aged 25 and 36.

The whole CPD organization needs a reboot. Let’s get rid of COPA, BIA, and ILETSB. The Illinois State Police need to investigate everything. The worst is BIA (IAD) in the group. This is a common thing. Happened to me for a mfg/del/pcs case. Momma of 21 yo baby went to COPA and accused me of racial profiling and perjury against her son who was on corner of Pulaski/Roosevelt selling from his jab. Her complaint even states she wasn't on scene or in court during his preliminary hearing. Yet COPA grilled me and basically accused me of being a dirty pos for arresting the future mayor of Chicago. That was the straw! Couldn't do what I loved to do anymore. Finished my time on desk and lockup. Happily retired now and soaking in the southern sun. Fuck Chicago!

There was recently a white woman who was pushed up against the wall by a shirtless offender who was high on PCP. The offender proceeded to fondle her. She demanded help, P.O.'s fought with and were injured by this scoundrel. Afterward, she stated that she had many Police Officers in her family and refused to sign complaints and cooperate. Luckily, the ASA was decent and approved the felony for the crime against her based on ample video, disregarding her cooperation. This is what happens, all too often, when the white, female liberal is victimized. I simply request that they stop involving the Police in their nonsense ideology of being uncooperative. This so-called victim has probably obtained a LOG number on the Officers who helped her and were also injured. On another note, these ultra liberals should realize that the consequences of their voting choices is lawlessness and victimization. TDS is real and will be a recognized mental disorder in the future.

Expend blood and sweat to arrest and attempt to clean up the street then get treated like you are the real criminal. Subpoena all the COPA records and interviews and file suit against the complainant(s). How long will they stall turning over all the documents??
Dig deep on who finances this bullshit. Say there is no loss?? How about this bullshit blocking a promotion or a better position??? Nope, stuck inside where you can't say naughty words to the public or get coffee thrown on you and punched & kicked?? Take some action Sgt. or accept these threats to your career.
If there is an undue delay or things missing, file a suit against COPA and subpoena the investigators and supervisors. Looking inside on who and how their investigations are carried out.
This bullshit sustaining part of the investigation was similar to IAD years ago. All were unfounded, but your jacket was unzipped or your hat was off (knocked off by the alleged victim). Anything to come with numbers (movers). Verbal or written and retain. That really enticed good aggressive police work by anyone involved. Picking fly shit out of peppers as the "old ones" used to say. Morale killing, if there is any left.
I think we should send the entire command staff down for retraining. They never had to pass a promotional exam and obviously never studied the general orders.
