Poor Hiring Practices
The fact that this isn't local is surprising, considering some of the recent scandals to hit the CPD exempt ranks:
A Westchester County police bigwig and her ex-con hubbie chaperoned their gangbanger son to a botched hit on a rival in the Bronx – then she took over as the getaway driver, officials said Tuesday.
Mount Vernon Deputy Police Commissioner Jennifer Lackard, 49, and her husband James Lackard drove their 20-year-old son Chase Lackard to the Grand Concourse on June 29 at around 11:57 p.m. and helped him plan a brazen hit right outside the Bronx Criminal Court, according to police and court records.
Once there, the proud parents sat in the front of the family’s Chrysler Pacifica while their “Slutty Gang” member son opened fire with a semiautomatic out of the window toward members of the rival street crew P. Laafay – but missed his targets, sources and documents said.
CPD has had all sorts of high ranking scandals - sex, stalking, PPP fraud, more sex, cheating on promo tests, DUIs, consorting with felons, even more sex....the list is extensive.
This other one is sort of local and is highly disappointing:
An Illinois State Police trooper charged with sexual assault allegedly drugged and assaulted a bartender last year in south suburban Tinley Park.
Douglas Lee, 54, was stripped of his police powers and ordered held at Cook County jail after he was charged Friday, according to court records and state police.
Lee is accused of drugging a woman while she was out with friends, taking her to a hotel and sexually assaulting her before leaving her in her car overnight.
We guess even the ISP bureaucratic masters drop the ball once in a while, so this shouldn't reflect on the regular Troopers we dealt with for years - smart, professional, willing to help out with the intricacies of Traffic Law, and if they were on the Zone with you, always on the way to assist. Sorry you guys and gals have to deal with this.

Illinois State Police is a dump too.
They are not as sharp as other troopers like Texas or Georgia.
They need to fire people, stop protecting bad cops.
Higher pay and high standards go together.
Remember the stripper sgt that drove her boy toy gang banger boyfriend away from a shooting in the ville and nothing happened to her?
Don’t jump to conclusions how often do women have next day remorse measure their attraction to the individual and then make an irrational decision?

Let this guy have his day in court I’ve seen way to many of my colleagues jammed up over a night of consensual partakings just because she has next day buyers remorse or she finds out he has a wife or Gf a month later.

Spring of ‘92… brand new to “Fillmore” out of the Academy and I get my first PSMV… dude bails from a car as listed on the Hot Sheet grabbed at roll call. I begin the chase on foot, W/B on Lake from Homan while my partner heads N/B in the box Chevy (where ya been, BCP???). “N/B in a vacant lot at 3408 towards Walnut, Squad!” is what I was yelling to Stan the Man when I hear the roar of a car engine bearing down on me from behind as I’m tackling Dude. Out of my periphery I see a big ass boot closing in on my right side of my head, so I instinctively covered up. Dude yelped and I looked up to see the Trooper winding up to deliver #2.
Then it was an ASA denial for PSMV as it was a Toyota with a “jiggler” key (remember those?), followed by an override by some exempt rank, but this is just me reminiscing… the point is the ISP guys and gals we had running around 011 with us back then were the Real Police.
All in the family. Now how come ISP Trooper is held in custody but a repeat offender get e.m?
How Jennifer Lackard first caught on with the Mount Vernon PD wasn’t immediately clear as she did not have on the job experience as a cop, but she was appointed to the deputy commissioner role of the Wellness Unit in 2022.
She wasn’t a sworn police officer but still fuck her and her piece of shit family.
These cancers among us. They seem to be metastasizing.
Reminds me of 15 years ago when a certain on-duty beat sergeant in 009 drove her gangbanging side piece to do a shooting in west end of Canaryville. Swingers gotta swing.

I absolutely remember. I was a sgt in 009 when this happened. I was driving the car that she normally drove and was stopped by a dude waiving frantically in the street. He ran up to the door and was yelling "Hey my Boo, where ya been". He saw it was me and asked "where's my girl Stacey?" Told him to get away from the door and get the fuck outta here. He mumbled and walked away. That girl was true trash. All you heard about her was true.
She also did an exhibition at roll call for the troops demonstrating the physical benefits of pole dancing at roll call, telling the troops she was a teacher in that fine art and they should sign up their wives, girlfriends, daughters in her classes. Sounds fake, but absolutely true.

Oh she got fired for this incident. The WC at the time, Captain RB, handled the beef himself. I was in 009 when this happened. She went to call back and never returned. It took a few years but she did get fired.

She didnt get fired. She retired out of 005 and moved to Florida.
