The homeless living under Lawrence Ave. and Lake Shore Drive had the barbeque grill going tuesday at around noon, there was open alcohol everywhere and what seemed like a good time. Around 50 yards away was a squad car blocking people from entering the park there. Not a joke.

How about this... isolate and come up with a plan for nursing homes. Allow visits outside in courtyards with family and with masks if you want to go even further. Donât allow visitors inside the main part of the nursing home or set up some type of temporary social room where visits can take place that is cut off from the main part of the home and is a âcleanâ room that after each visit is wiped down by staff. If you want multiple visits then have several rooms just for visits with some chairs, a tv, games and a small refrigerator and microwave to eat with family. This way the rest of the facility isnât bringing corona in. Or, now that they have the 15 minute tests, do a test to every visitor and make them wait in a room or tent before being allowed access into the nursing or retirement home. 15 minutes later after the test comes back negative allow the visitor in after they wipe down purses, phones or any bags brought in or put them under a large UV sanitizing machine. NY, NJ, PA, MI, CA, and IL (which I checked a couple days ago myself) all had boilerplate about requiring nursing homes to accept COVID patients "if clinically stable". WI and KY returned such patients from hospitals by default, unless the home asserted an inability to handle them. NY was just more efficient at wiping out the elderly than the rest.
It isn't a mistake that the states that want to stay shut down forever ran up the highest body counts.

If you have any interaction with the homeless in the downtown locale... There is an interesting story about wildlife many tell. Pigeons have been settling higher off the ground since some of those birds are being attacked by rats if the pigeons perch lower down.
The pandemic has stopped much food scraps due to the waste from downtown kitchens/restaurants. No flow of people, no flow of food and trash in same volume. Some rats have therefore attacked birds to eat when a month ago, rats seldom attacked birds.
Seems birds which would eschew old cat food and other less then tasty food scraps in the trash will now eat whatever they can get for the downtown area. Some homeless say they have seen seagulls coming in and taking the slim pickings of trash scraps that those birds would not otherwise have touched more then a month back.

Takes several weeks after recovery for them to appear. Maybe he did not wait long enough.
Some RT-PCR tests for covid infection have a fairly high false positive rate.
Antibody test has about a ten percent false negative rate.

Mayor GROOT,s 5 Star Destroy Chicago Plan supersedes the Governor,s Plan of below 20% by requiring that the City of Chicago get down to below 15% positive cases before moving into Level 3.The City will remain at Level 2.Very simply put,the City of Chicago will never reach Levels 4 and 5 of the Plan.The best that could be achieved would be Level 3 by November.

I'm a damn dirty millennial and I try hard not to play the millennials vs. boomers blame game, I really do. And it's no secret that I'm about as far form the left wing class warfare narrative as it gets, what with being the political love child of Heinlein and Rand. But, that having been said, I have a hard time seeing this as something other than a bunch of old rich guys who've already left the workforce throwing said workforce under the bus because they're terrified of their own mortality.

Guy in my district went on the medical with cold/flu symptoms. He supposedly tested positive for covid. He said his symptoms lasted a day or two and after that he felt fine. He went back and got the antibody test done. He tested negative for the antibodies. How can that be??? I call bullshit on the original covid test he took.

Could be several things.
Takes several weeks after recovery for them to appear. Maybe he did not wait long enough.
Some RT-PCR tests for covid infection have a fairly high false positive rate.
Antibody test has about a ten percent false negative rate.
